Volunteering at the hostel was a great way to explore a part of Patagonia and interact with locals. Maxi and the other volunteers were all super friendly. The area is quiet in the sense that I did not meet a lot of people outside of the hostel, but there is a LOT of beautiful scenery nearby to explore :)

Foi uma experiência estar um mês, me conectei muito com os voluntários que estavam lá. Não tenho nenhuma reclamação sobre minha experiência, contudo teve alguns desentendimentos entre o anfitrião e as voluntárias que acabaram por roubar um pouco a energia. Tive a chance de dar um feedback para o anfitrião pessoalmente o que foi bom, mas ressalto que é necessário estabelecer uma boa comunicação sempre, deixando claro o que faz parte do acordo de voluntariado e o que não faz. De forma geral, comigo, ocorreu tudo bem e está localizado perto de pontos de ônibus o que ajuda muito no deslocamento.

Pontos positivos: o hostel é pequeno mas confortável, área externa ótima. A localização, apesar de não ser central, é boa pela tranquilidade e segurança. Os voluntários que compartilhei meus dias fizeram toda a diferença. O trabalho foi muito tranquilo e as horas foram respeitadas (quase não haviam hóspedes durante minha estadia lá). Pontos a melhorar: a comunicação pode ser melhorada e mais fluída, isso foi pontuado e notei tentativas de melhorará. A habitação dos voluntários é bem pequena. A relação anfitrião X voluntário pode melhorar no sentido de ser uma experiência e não um trabalho.

El hostel fue mi 1° voluntariado en la plataforma. El lugar es precioso, el establecimiento y también sus alrededores. Agradezco a Maxi su buena onda y predisposición, lo felicito por llevar adelante tan cálido espacio para viajeros de todas partes. Me sentí como en casa en todo momento. También al resto de voluntarios que compartió la experiencia conmigo, me llevo recuerdos que voy a atesorar toda la vida. Las tareas y turnos se respetaron super bien. Además valoro la posibilidad de comunicación que tuvimos, la escucha y comprensión por parte de Maxi ante cualquier inquietud. GRACIAS.

La experiencia en the hostel ha sido increíble, pues el ambiente tranquilo, ordenado y cálido del hostel es algo destacable. No es exagerado sentir que es como un hogar. Asimismo, Maxi es una persona con mucha onda y transmite una buena energía al lugar. Me llevo los mejores recuerdos de the hostel, de Lago Puelo y de mis compañeros de voluntariado que fueron lo más. En fin, cualquier persona que busque un ambiente tranquilo y con paisajes fascinantes, the hostel es un gran lugar. Espero volver pronto, ya sea como huésped o voluntario :)
