Korana was welcoming and often cooked for us, asking if we needed anything from the market. However, the place was very messy when I arrived, and we never received a schedule in advance, making it hard to plan. We also had to remind her to give us days off. Although I was told I'd be free after 3 PM, I was put on afternoon shifts instead, which wasn't what I agreed to before getting there. The room had no lock, and Luka would walk in without knocking, which made us girls uncomfortable, especially cause sometimes we would be asleep, very inappropriate. she also asked me to leave earlier:/

I would 100% recommend this experience! As a first time volunteer I think this was the perfect place to introduce me to this kind of work. Korana was extremely welcoming and caring towards me and the other volunteer and made the place feel like a home away from home. The place as a whole is an extremely beautiful and fun place to stay with good nightlife. The only thing I was disappointed in was not getting one day off a week as promised. All in all I had the best time here and made memories that will last a lifetime! (Make sure to bring a good amount of money with you as Hvar is expensive).

Lukas Lodge was an amazing first Worldpackers experience! I worked every day for a few hours in reception checking guests in and out and explaining things to do on the island. I would also help out with the laundry and general cleaning. You have plenty of time to explore the island and relax at the beach. Thank you to Korana and Luka for being lovely hosts and giving me the opportunity to live in Hvar for the month.

The hostel has possibly been one of the best experiences I have ever had, this year was my second time here and I cannot recommend it enough. This is place is really special and the people are amazing. We are like a family here and to me it really felt like home, I felt so safe and comfortable. The work is nice and chill, there is a lot of communication between the volunteers and the manager with what is expected. Overall I love this place and Luka very much, there will always be a special place in my heart and I will never forget my time spent here and the people I have met along the way.

I enjoyed my experience at this place so much! The work is not hard at all, I was doing housekeeping and reception depending on a shift. Rada, Luka and volunteers are amazing people - you feel like at home with them. The island is beautiful with a lot of beaches and a very rich nightlife. Guests at the hostel are very nice and young, so you can hang out with them and have fun! Thanks a lot for everything! Miss you already a lot 🥹❤️

A great first volunteering experience! I arrived at the start of post-season so things were relatively quiet and I had lots of time to explore the beautiful island. Everyone was friendly and I felt welcomed there throughout. The work was never too hard, although sometimes I would've preferred an upfront schedule rather than finding out what I was doing on the day. The three meals stated on the profile is actually a staff kitchen available with ingredients - I was often cooked for by the other staff working there so very grateful for that :) thanks everyone for a super month!

My time at the hostel was amazing! Luka is a wonderful host, always ready to help and make you feel comfortable. Also his daughter, Korana, is so kind, nice and easy to get along and work with! The hostel is so pretty and in a nice location - 5 minutes from the city center and the beach. The tasks were not demanding at all, you have all the time to do them and to be able to visit lovely Hvar and its surroundings. Definitely recommend, I would really love to go back again :)

My experience was amazing and much better than I expected. Luka is so lovely and friendly. Nancy is lovely and she cooks very well. I learned a lot here because I had a great responsible working at the reception, taking care of the booking system and the guests, the payment, giving information about the Hostel and the tourist places. The island is beautiful and there are a lot of activities to do. I also had days off and I enjoyed a lot. All the meals and drinks are included and I could enjoy the parties for free. I loved staying here and I totally recommend :)

I had such a great time in this island and to work in the hostel was better than I was expecting. The working hours were flexible and I had enough time for myself, staff amazing, a lot of fun and I had everything that was promised on the website. Luka, the owner, is incredible. He drove me around the island to show his village and was always worried if I was having a good time or needed a rest after party. Also Nancy is the best cooker ever feeding us a lot with amazing food! After months of travels, I felt grateful to be part of the hostel family. Thanks for everything!

O que falar desse mês incrível e Hvar?! Cheguei aqui como quem chega em um paraíso. Luka é um ser humano incrível e foi a minha família aqui. Além de ter sido um grande anfitrião. Durante esse mês recebi pessoas incríveis também. Fiz inúmeros amigos e fui MUITO feliz. O trabalho precisa ser feito, sem dúvidas. E durante a alta estação não é tão simples. Mas tudo vale a pena. Estou saindo daqui cheias de boas memórias depois de uma temporada incrível. Espero que mais pessoas possam vivenciar o que eu vivi. Recomendo um milhão de vezes. Até a próxima Luka! 💜
