Are you passionate about animal welfare and skilled in social media? We’re looking for a creative person to manage our social media, create videos, and help raise awareness about the cats on our land. The experience was some kind of disconnection. Totally out of the comfort zone yet very cozy. Be ready for the camping site and all that comes with living in an out of grid place. They are just starting in this way of life, so somethings are simple/improvised and there's lots of improvements to be done beyond the animals routine, so it's essential to be proactive and don't depend upon a defined schedule. Ana and Anabella were very welcoming, flexible and direct with us. I really miss them and Scarlo, Ginger, Amando, Ash and all the other animals.

My experience in the camping was off-grid and truly amazing. If you're unfamiliar with this lifestyle, I recommend doing some research before applying. We took care of various animals, including cats, chickens, and turkeys, while also working to improve their accommodations. Ana and Anabella were incredibly welcoming, making us feel right at home. I will miss them, along with all the cats and other animals.

I really enjoyed this experience! Ana and their family are really nice, they made you feel welcome from the very first moment, and they really care about your well-being. I went in September and it's really hot in the morning and afternoon, but when you feel hot they understand and let you rest. I enjoyed the tasks a lot too. I loved it being surrounded by nature and cats. I really don't have anything bad to say about this experience, I would definitely repeat it!

I wish I knew before going: There is no toilet, just a spade to dig a hole and the area is not very private. The shower is just a hose. The host provides bikes, but there isn't anywhere close enough to bike to so it is very isolated. Ana and her family tried to be as accomodating as possible and welcoming. There are areas that could be improved: Supplying safety equipment when working with tools, and removing the minor hazards around the farm. Ana and her Mum are working on clearer communication, which is a positive as sometimes things felt quite passive aggressive.

Ana replied

Thank you, Renée, for your feedback and for being a part of our off-grid experience. We're glad you found us welcoming and appreciate your suggestions.

I’d like to clarify that the hose was a temporary measure due to an issue with our water pump, which we’re in the process of fixing. For privacy, we provide a portable bucket toilet for each guest, which can be used in the tent's front section, separated from the sleeping area. This was available during your stay, but we’ll work on making these details clearer in the future.

We’re also taking your comments on safety and communication seriously as we strive to improve the experience for everyone.

The place was really nice. You can try to live fully connected with nature, using green energy and being surrounded by animals. We had interesting tasks to do like building a coop or taking care of animals. I had fun and I really like it. I was welcomed in the beginning and everything was fine for the first few days but then the atmosphere turned awkward. The mother didn't get along with my friend and was giving her the comments about everything. One day Ana justa came to us and said that comunication between them and us is not working and they said we need to leave the next day.
