The Experience

In Sonta Coliving we bring together people from different countries who work remotely and pay us for accommodation. We will need a help of one volunteer in March 2025 to help us maintain our coliving and coworking space. Your tasks will be to help us in simply day tasks like: cleaning, gardening (obligatory) and other tasks depending your skill (e.g. decorating space, repairing etc.) Everything is free for you, except the food.

What can I say? My first time volunteering + first time in Coliving space, it couldn't have been any better! Nicola & Sarah are amazing! They creat an atmosphere where strangers feel at home, they attend to every need you might have & make you feel welcome, other than the meals they provided to us which they cooked from traditional recipes 🍖. My experience was awesome! I gained a lot of experience from making Rakija to making Wine to organizing the space to planting in the gardento living the life of the village & emerse into there astonishing culture with the kindest people in Serbia 🇷🇸

The coliving is perfect for volunteers looking to detach from busy travel destinations and return to the rhythms of routine and normality. Nikola and Sara were very welcoming, friendly, and social and included me in their lives from Day 1. The hours were fair and tasks were flexible, including cleaning, organising spaces, and gardening. There are great areas for volunteers to work on their own projects and hobbies in their free time. Outside of volunteering, I got to see a play at the local theatre, explore the town's church and museum, and enjoy a local music festival. I recommend! Hvala!

My stay at the coliving was only short- great location for those seeking peace in the countryside. Tasks for the day are planned/decided in the morning, hours are respected and as described. Nikola is open to your own ideas/what you can contribute (while there I painted the fence and helped with decorating, cleaning & gardening). There is a cat and lots of cute dogs! As a solo female traveller staying with only 2 men at the co-living I did feel safe & comfortable. Would love to see the co-livings vibe when full of travellers, but was nice to have quiet downtime. Hvala Nikola, Sara and Sary!

I had a fantastic short stay (less than a week) at the coliving. Nikola and Sara are amazing hosts, incredibly kind and welcoming, with lovely pets that made the place feel like home. The volunteer work was enjoyable and well-managed, and the coliving community was friendly and supportive. I highly recommend the coliving for a rewarding and enjoyable experience!

My two weeks here with Nikola and Sara were amazing! They really made me feel at home, I wish I could've stayed longer. I met some amazing people during my time at the Coliving. The pets are a bonus! I will miss them. Work hours were flexible and respected the whole time, and though the work was physical it was never too much. the coliving is a lovely little town, so this is a great place to relax and switch off. It is also a great place to meet the locals and really endorse yourself in the local culture. I would definitely recommend (:
