Very disappointing. The host is not in the hostel and you are riddled with whatsapp and calls to order what you have to do. You have to take care of everything. In my case, there were few clients (even they had to open me) and it was not very difficult, but you are not part of any team and it's not fun at all. In addition, there is no table to eat and the neighborhood located looks like a ghetto. The bike wheels were stolen on the first night and on the second night a strange woman started saying that the hostel was illegal. So I resigned the position.
The hostel is small and is close to the liverpool stadium, you need to take a bus to go to the city center.
the hostel owner lives in london and you're only going to talk to him by cell phone.
I took care of all the tasks of the hostel, not difficult!
I met people from all over the world and for me it was a good experience.
Disappointing! In short, I gave up staying at the hostel, now i explain why
When I arrived, around 0-0: 30 AM, there was no one to open the door for me and I literally stayed on the street and I had to get (and pay) another hostel for the night.
In the next day (after 5pm) I was able to meet the host. He wanted me to take care of EVERYTHING: from reservations, check in/out, bank deposits, cleaning and everything else, since I would be alone in the hostel, there were no other employees, and I had signed up just for cleaning. Misleading advertisement. The host did not comply with the agreed!
Well... Liverpool is amazing and most of the people there is very friendly and nice with you and that helps you to be involve in the city. In a common day in the hostal I was in charge of all, so I think is too much responsability but also I met interesting people there. It is my first experience and I think it was fine :)
