The Experience

Robur & The Oak need creative, handy volunteers with or without (semi-)professional constructing skills and with a good feeling of the place's atmosphere. We're now in the finishing phase, meaning help is needed for rendering, cleaning & treating the wood, finishing the floor etc. A pile of wood wants to be chopped for the woodstove in winter, and a loooong & deep trench for utility services must be excavated... And... and... :-)

Thanks, Josh! That's exactly what it's meant for - and you helped it do its job!

Incredible, different and transformative! so was my experience at The Oak.
Being there, you understand the Worldpackers' proposal, travel the world, meet different people, learn new languages, new cultures, acquire new knowledge... and a lot of Conscience!
Marieke, thank you for teaching me to have conscience.
The people at the place are incredible, the project is structured and organized to receive the volunteers, the activities and schedules are well defined. Remember! It's an eco-friendly project, not a hotel. If you want to expand your mind, allow yourself to live this volunteer!
