I spent good weeks in the Robur. The expirience was so interesting and I learnt the basis of hempcrete construction thanks to Marieke and Wolf! The rest of the volunteers were amazing and so friendly. I had a great expirience there though the season and closed time were not the best moment to go to the Robur.
You're so right, Amanda. I felt bad that you guys couldn't experience the atmosphere of summer and early fall. Also, by the time the last group of volunteers was at The Oak, I was exhausted myself. I love to help feel my volunteers at home, and the last month I kind of failed.
I bet you could perceive I didn't like that closing time myself so much... :-P
Nevertheless you guys were supportive and did everything that needed to be done anyway, and I'm very grateful for that!
Also thanks for your interesting tree-reading! :-)
Incredible, different and transformative! so was my experience at The Oak.
Being there, you understand the Worldpackers' proposal, travel the world, meet different people, learn new languages, new cultures, acquire new knowledge... and a lot of Conscience!
Marieke, thank you for teaching me to have conscience.
The people at the place are incredible, the project is structured and organized to receive the volunteers, the activities and schedules are well defined. Remember! It's an eco-friendly project, not a hotel. If you want to expand your mind, allow yourself to live this volunteer!
This host receives a lot of worldpackers and has a high average rating.
Robur at The Oak is hibernating now! :-). Apply for a period starting from APRIL 23 on, and apply for at least two weeks. Take the opportunity, this may be the last year for volunteering here! PLEASE ONLY APPLY THROUGH THE PLATFORM + kind reques...About the host
