This was really neat to stay in the traditional rooms and visit onsen everyday. Anna was very welcoming, and I hope to go back again someday! The autumn scenery was beautiful and there was a lot of hiking in the area, or the towns around to explore.

Thank you very much for your warning comment and really glad to hear you liked hiking I took, and this area. Emilia is amazingly helpful in all the aspects, and very talented. The cute painting you gave me, so lovely, it is really nice of you. Looking forward to see you again!

Anna is such a brilliant human with loads of global experiences ! She is full of surprises and we shared love for good oldies like the Beatles and spicy food ! She had great taste and super knowledgeable! I wish I had more time. Her place is so close the mountains, it feels like the giant gods are watching ! Strolling Dian the paved streets transcends through time and space into a different dimension ; the plants and the animals got so many stories. The public onsens are awesome treat, but honestly the one at Ana’s is the best. The fact that both food is included and the passes is remarkable.

I feel very grateful to Atsuko-san! I don't regret this stay, I consider it a good life experience and I would recommend it, but it's good to know in advance that you need to be quite flexible and open minded.
It's also advisable to talk clearly about the working hours and the schedule, but no worries, Atsuko-san is a good person, nice and kind (she was very flexible and totally respectful with my telework) and although the workload changes a lot depending on the season and how many other volunteers/staff there are at the moment, the total amount of hours was respected.
Thank you very much!

Sorry takes long time to reply (cold not find how to reply till now).
Thank you very much for your great help!!!

Sara is so much capable of so much things.
So tidy, open minded to give it try things such as painting (good painter too) allways willing to help.

Knowing Sara has telwork and capable to manage time, so Sara was managing working hours.

Not only smart but never hesitate to help any, great person!
If Sara apply, I am assure Sara will be the great help.

It was amazing we were able to see the view from the top of mountain even it was very cloudy. Hope even if the cloud ahead of you, it will be disappear and you see the great view.

The Nozaru hostel experience has great potential. It offers a great deal but core characteristics are missing. I recommend: Agree your shift times with the host from the beginning, so you wouldn't be very often asked to do tasks in your free time or have unexpected long days of work. The host could also improve the experience by being respectful with your learning process and request special working times/locations with more than one night before, so you can move your work/commitments to meet the request. Organization and respect together would make this experience one of the best in Japan.
