A farm in the Chilterns

A small organic farm in the Chiltern Hills countryside just 1 hour on a train from London and Oxford , so you have a base to enjoy both the countryside and cities! Helping out in our biodynamic orchard and working on apple processing as well as plenty of other outside chores ( including gardening, putting up tree guards and sheep tasks) so the work will be interesting and varied. We have a lovely mobile home (2 beds) with a kitchen and washing machine. Meals are included some self catering and evening meals with us on work days so you can enjoy some time alone and with us.

My husband and I run the farm. There are lots of projects we are aiming to do in 2024 and after hosting for the first time in 2023, we are looking forward to more visitors from Worldpackers. We are looking forward to meeting people from around the world and hearing more about your experiences and way of life. I like to think we treat people kindly and fairly. We want to make sure volunteers enjoy their stay and leave us understanding the work involved in running a small farm.

My hosts were absolutely amazing people. I'm neuro diverse and they couldn't have been more flexible and understanding. I learnt differently and they recognised this and worked with me.
They were so friendly with great home cooked food every night. The bed and house was great. I got to play with the dogs and cats too, a real home from home.
The work is really interesting. The apples are delicious!
My favourite was the apple crushing machine.
These hosts are so kind and considerate with a wonderful place to stay I recommend them to everyone

This was our first experience with Worldpackers, and we couldn't be more satisfied with it. Mark and Nicola were incredibly kind and close. They also shared with us a lot of knowledge about their culture and farming. This made our stay not just a work opportunity but also a constant learning experience. We are going to miss Faith, Hope, Shadow and shy George so much! 💗

The experience in the farm was amazing! The tasks are always different so everyday you do and learn something new, Mark and Nicola are always available to help and it's really fun to work with them during the day :) They keep the schedule and are careful if we get tired. The accomodation and food are amazing and something that made me really happy was their interest about my culture as well. Enjoyed it to the fullest and will certainly be back to the sheeps, dogs and cats too <3

It has been the best experience i’ve ever had! I have learned so many things about the farm, and the working hours run fast because it’s so enjoyable. Mark and Nicola are so caring and funny. I would definetly do it again. Even if i had already been here, the work changes everyday so it’s perfect! Thank you for the experience

This experience honestly exceeded all my expectations, it was my first time trying world packers and everything was perfect.
They are very flexible in terms of work hours, they always have the patience to explain things and they treat you very kindly.
The work was fun and enjoyable and the location is very beautiful not to mention the animals are adorable.
You have a lot of privacy in the motor home and the dinners were not only delicious but also a fond memory.
I wish you lots of luck with future projects and would love to come back and help : )
