we are located at a historical building in the German Colony -the tourism hotspot of modern Haifa- and at the edge of the Mount Carmel, Al-Yakhour Hostel is based; a start-up project by a group of young Palestinians. If you look for a low cost hostel, a meeting point with locals, reachable nature spots and restaurants, a nearby night life, a culturally active place, and a calm corner to spend your visit or vacation, Al-Yakhour is the address...
The staff at our hostel is very kind and nice people, our stuff loves the city and knows a lot about it so i can be nice talking with and just hanging around together. I can tell also that our staff get the best scores from the visitors of the hostel you can check it at booking, hostel world and TripAdvisor. Volunteers here will have the opportunity to travel in different cities and have a nights free in different Hostels.. As well you can practice every week Arabic and Hebre so they can enjoy and explore the languages.. We also organize a trips in the nature for volunteers :) you have new friends here you are welcomed:)

Al Yakhour is a warm place, that feels like home. Tamer keeps the place going with his energy, intelligence and charisma, and Mohammed worked his magic every day in the kitchen, always with a smile. The place is very well located, close to the beach, the train station and the breathtaking Baha'i gardens. Accomodations are very comfortable, work hours are respected and the crew is very attentive about any needs the volunteers have. Shukram guys, for everything! 💪🏻🙏🏼🙌🏼

Staying two months in Haifa was one of the best experiences I ever had. For my first worldpackers trip it was perfect. I met so many great people (other volunteers, guests, staff & locals) and learned new things every day. The whole team was so welcoming from the first day. It really felt like home and I was quite sad to leave. I can’t complain about the work, it was exactly 25h a week and very easy most of the time. Breakfast and Lunch made by Muhamed every day was just perfect. I would really recommend this place to everyone, you will have a special time.

Alyakhour hostel became my home for a month and a half. Everyone was so welcoming and I really felt like I was part of the family. I couldn’t be more grateful about this experience. I’ll always have a little piece of my heart in Haifa. ❤️🩹

My time was really unique. The host and staff members were lovely and I felt very comfortable the whole time. Beside the working hours I had enough time to explore Haifa and other places in Israel. I can definitely recommend this hostel and will hopefully be able to come back as soon as possible.

My experience at the hostel was amazing. I met a lot of lovely people and made good friends. The schedule was flexible so I had time to explore a lot. Tamer helped me get free nights at partner hostels in other cities. The schedule was mostly clear but we sometimes had to work a few extra hours. We had breakfast and lunch which were amazing, thanks Mohammed! The only thing that could improve is the volunteer shower, it was mostly broken and only had cold water. All in all it was great though, thanks guys!
