This was my first time volunteering and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience! Hamila and Henry were amazing hosts that made me feel welcome and at home as soon as I arrived. I loved spending time with and caring for all the animals, cooking and cleaning and playing cards. Staying over Ramadan was especially a really lovely and cool experience that I would recommend to anyone. Thank you so much for your hospitality and the amazing work that you do, I can’t wait to come back at some point :))

Volunteering at C.A.R.E. was an incredible experience. Meeting Halima and Henry, along with the furry residents, made it one of the highlights of 2023 for me. Although my time there was short, the impact it had on me was profound. the joy of being around the animals left a lasting impression. I wish I could have stayed longer, but even in that brief period, it was a privilege to contribute and connect with such a wonderful cause. I can’t wait to come back I already miss everything about that place.

Even though I only stayed for a short time, this was such an amazing experience and I loved every second of it! The hosts Halima and Henry are so great, funny and made me feel welcomed and at home right away. We ate delicious, home cooked meals every day and I especially loved the card games we played every evening, all while being surrounded by the lovely and extremely cuddly animals that I got to feed and play with a lot:)
This sanctuary is seriously such an idyllic and happy place to be and to help and I can’t recommend it enough!💓

I had an absolutely incredible time volunteering with Henry and Halima over the last month! The work isn’t too demanding and is largely self directed. I am so grateful for my time here and would recommend volunteering with them to anyone. I will definitely be coming back the next time I’m in Morocco!
