Chateau Duviella

We are a very sociable, family home, with many volunteers, children, dogs which makes for a fun and relaxed environment. We do all work hard during the day, which makes the relaxation time even sweeter at the end of each day.

Volunteers and guests are treated respect, each volunteer is given a list of projects and task for them to do during their stay with us and it is their own responsibility to manage their own time. We provide a comfortable home, good food and relaxed company and in exchange we ask for your motivation and time.

We really enjoyed our time at Chateau Duviella! The French countryside is beautiful, as was the Chateau. Some of the highlights were family-style dinners with the family and all the volunteers, and cuddles by the fire with Scratch and Sam! Faye was really responsive before and throughout our stay and she made sure we had everything we needed. As a remote worker, sometimes the wifi connection was unreliable especially during stormy weather. Faye expects hard work and progress with your tasks, so be ready to put in the time and effort!

I had a wonderful time at Duviella, I got to do lots of different work like laying floor tiles, gardening, installing rose arches for the garden and demolition of old structures. You will work hard, but Faye is organized so you always know what to work on and expectations are clear which makes it very satisfying. The chateau is located in a quiet peaceful rural environment, and i found such a nice little community of other travelers working at the chateau along with faye and her family who are very welcoming. This was my first Worldpackers stay and it was a great choice :)

We really enjoyed this Worldpackers experience and felt very welcomed by Faye into her family. The work tasks were well structured with clear instructions that were easy to follow. The bikes and game room were great at fostering community, and we enjoyed the nightly family dinners. The property was very nice and the dogs were so friendly! Highly recommend!

A anfitriã é bem organizada, me hospedou em um excelente local com toda a estrutura.
Infelizmente eu não executei as tarefas nos prazos propostos por não ter experiência e ficar buscando a perfeição na limpeza, o que me deixou muito frustrada e, acho, que decepcionei a anfitriã com isso.
Conhecer os demais voluntários e trocar experiências com eles foi algo incrível. Um agradecimento super especial para a voluntária Camille por literalmente salvado a minha vida, não fosse a ajuda dela eu poderi ter caído do último andar de uma escada ao limpar um armário na cozinha. THANK YOU CAM, MY HERO!!
