The athmosphere! Created by my dedicated staff ;) We started 15 years, 5 years ago I sold it and since April 2023 we are back and we want to create a warm place where Backpackers can feel at home. I actually started City Backpackers in 1993:) and am very happy to see the work they have done! So now we will use our advantages and give Backpackers a great place to stay!

I have the best staff!!! Ahmed really loves his job and this is reflected in the athmosphere here. As I said I started City Backpackers in 1993 and have been on and of in this environment for thirty years. After I sold City Backpackers I went to New Zealand for two years. In the 80ies and 90ies I was backpacking a little every where. I love travelling and especially meeting people from different cultures. I started City Lodge in 2004, never really had a good feeling as it is in a basement without windows. It was sold in 2005. 2008 I found this place and loved it especially for the fantastic views over our beautiful City. In 2017 I just had to fulfil another dream :) I moved to Portugal and this was possible as Ahmed could manage the place for me:) and I love dogs!!!
