As one of the last remaining, medieval cities in operation in the world, UNESCO rightfully decided to make the entire medina a heritage site. Their decision was based on the need to protect what many feel represents the heart of Moroccan culture, tradition, and history. Since the Riad is inside the medina of fes, the travelers have a lot of nice things to discover at the time they arrive! And also the city has a lot of nice historic places to go and many beautiful villages around Fes like the Atlas Mountains and Chiefchouen.
I am Hannan, I am 42, married with 4 beautiful children. I own a very beautiful Riad in Fes, the oldest city in Morocco with a immense historical and cultural legacy, not to mention the tasty local cuisine. I own it for 12 years, and I am currently looking for a helping hand since the Riad has been shut down during the pandemic. Now I am reopening and I want to give the riad a fresh and new life.

During my stay, I had a transformative experience. While there were some challenges with communication and the tasks were different from what we had agreed upon, I was still glad to help out as much as I could. Walking through the medina can be a bit sketchy and there are some fake tourist guides who try to take advantage of visitors. However, Hanna's kindness and warmth made up for any inconveniences. The accommodation is basic, but the breakfast provided is a nice touch. Overall, it was an unforgettable experience that pushed me out of my comfort zone and allowed me to learn and grow

Hanna and her family were soo warm and welcoming , as my first adventure in worldpackers i feel like I’m in my home 🌹 , Dar Naima is inside the medina I loved everything in fes , especially traditional things , and the culture also the old monuments in fes , my job were photographing , videos making , social media , as a content creater I love my work with hanna she’s very kind and helpful if you need something you have just to ask about it and she will help you , also when she have time she take me around the city , now I’m exiting to start other adventures because I learn lot of thing

We had a very special experience with Hanna in her Dar. It was a unique opportunity as we were able to take part of Hanna´s family routine and enjoying a really Marrocan day life. Besides that the Hostel is located in the old Medina and therefore you can explore it as much as you can.
The work was basically serving and preparing the breakfast, cleaning and other small tasks. The only thing we could say is that the schedule could be more clear with the tasks time and days off. In general Hanna receive us very well treating us like her family. We will keep this experience for ever! ❤❤❤

Este es mi 5to voluntariado a través de WorldPackers, la experiencia fue increíble, puedes estar inmerso en la cultura local y sentirte bienvenido por el Host. En general las horas de trabajo son pocas y no son nada complicadas, además de que hay mucha flexibilidad con los horarios.

We had a great experience in the Riad, Hanane and her family was lovely, they treated us pretty good and we felt like in home. It's a great opportunity to learn a lil bit of the local language while you're working with Amina.
Also they teach you how to cook in a tajine, it was pretty nice our stay, we definitely love it.
