Our Hostel is a hostel Lonely Planet choice as a sustainable and green hostel in the town. Since we opened in. 2011 until now. ( 2021) we have won every single year the Trip Advisor Award - Certificate of Excellence. Our location is nearby a Montanita beach which is an ICON in the whole south America pacific coast, was also rated the top 20 best coolest surf towns in the world. Come and stay with us, our hostel has one of the best Seaview in the town, the beach is just 50 mts in front of us =) we also get GReen Leaders Award from Trip Advisor and we were chosen by Lonely Planet as the ecological and sustainable option in montanita
We are local, the manager and owner speak English, we have been here more than. 20 years, we had our houses, now our business, we respect this town so much and we believe in sustainable tourism.

Estuve hace 4 años voluntariando en el mismo lugar y todo sigue genial. El nuevo manager es muy buena onda, así como el dueño y el resto del staff. El acuerdo siempre se respeta, el lugar está buenísimo y es perfecto para aprender/mejorar Inglés. Uno de los mejores lugares para voluntariar, voy a quedarme más tiempo.

I had a fantastic time volunteering at Esperanto hostel and thoroughly enjoyed my month here. The work is as described on the profile - there are three 4 hour shifts a day which you rotate between with the other volunteers, covering the reception and house cleaning duties. The team are great and the hostel really has a community feel to it. It was the perfect combination of chill, beach, surf and the infamous Montanita nightlife is only a walking distance away. The owner Jorge is always around to answer questions and help. Thank you Jorge and team for a great experience☺️

The shifts are as pre agreed by both parts! You will rotate with other volunteers the reception, breakfast and cleaning shifts. The hostel is very chill, with very nice employes wich makes the difference in the hostel's vibe. I had such a great time in Esperanto and had to extend twice my staying haha Jorge, the owner, is always around, which makes easier if you have any doubts, problems or everything. He is also very opened to ideas and changes if is needed. Thank you all for receiving me and I hope to see you around Ecuador!

fue un tiempo de mucho trabajo y dedicación, tube la oportunidad de administrar el hostal y aprendí demasiado, mucho mas de los que pensé, manejar las plataformas como hostelworld.com, booking.com, Airbnb, en las cuales ya soy casi en un experto, también aprendí a dirigir un grupo de empleados y de voluntarios.
Tambien aprendí a manejar la parte financier y contable.
fueron 2 años de mucho aprendizaje y crecimiento
agradezco a el dueño Jorge quien me dio la oportunidad, el vivía en suiza nunca tuvimos mal entendidos por dinero, todo fue muy transparente.

johnny , buena suerte en tus proyectos en Europa, fueron 2 anos buenos me alegro que hayas aprendido mucho y gracias tambien por el apoyo y ayuda , tambien aprendi mucho porque personalidades son diferentes jajaja pero los valores de persona, honestidad y responsabilidad y compromiso son las mismas , y lo aprecio mucho , gracias Johnny seguro te ira muy bien en tu nueva etapa de vida, te extrañaremos

Mi experiencia en Esperanto la puedo resumir en dos palabras mágica y gratificante.
Es un Hostel con mucho encanto y buena energía, con una terraza que tiene una vista preciosa.
El equipo que conformamos para trabajar fue precioso.
Recomiendo muchísimo este lugar!!!
