Overall I really enjoyed my time at La Quinta Estancia! As others have said it’s a great place to explore El Chalten and access all of the amazing hiking and nature surrounding it. The property is beautiful and I had a lovely time connecting with the other volunteers and staff. As others have mentioned, I did feel uncomfortable at times by the owner and was frustrated by his lack of communication and flexibility. The hotel closed for the season half way through my stay and he asked us all to leave with less than 48 hrs notice which was unfair and could have been handled better.

Benefits:
- location: about 45 min walk from El Chalten and to the trails in the area
- nature: the views of the mountains and stars and sunset/sunrises are something magical
- team: I was lucky with the team of employees/volunteers
- tasks/hours are clear
Negatives:
- as mentioned before by others, Alfredo can make women feel uncomfortable and will choose his favorites amongst the volunteers that he will allow extra privileges to - this behavior is strange and unwelcome.
That being said I would still recommend this place if you love the mountains and youre able set your boundaries.

La Estancia La Quinta offered great hiking and volunteering experience with beautiful people. But, the owner's behavior towards female workers was inappropriate, bordering on harassment, with unwelcome comments and favoritism. This behavior created discomfort and a sense of being undervalued. His strictness, such as reprimanding for minor lateness, fostered a tense work environment. Accommodation were fine but lacked amenities (microwave, fridge, and toilet paper), and lights were cut off from 12am to 5am.
Make sure to communicate about the job, tasks and schedule beforehand.

La Estancia is a beautiful and amazing experience overall. Alfredo was very kind, showed us the area, and facilitated our trips into town as it is 45 minute walk. Tons of hiking and nature close! I worked outside shoveling manure, compost/trash, collecting berries/lavender/pine cones. I enjoy my tasks. Make sure that you communicate with Alfredo beforehand to know your responsibilities. For transparency, I felt uncomfortable at times as a girl because of the over-friendliness and unequal treatment of volunteers/workers. Just be aware of your boundaries. It’s a really beautiful place to live.
