Fahari Child Smile

Volunteer with us is the perfect way of learning our culture while contributing to our community. Through our project you will not only have the opportunity to volunteer, but also to experience our everyday local life, get around using local transportation, browse markets to find ingredients to cook local food, enjoy exercise and football at the community grounds. All of these are great ways to learn our culture, practice our language Swahili and engage with local people. Come and experience a volunteering experience that will be a reward, gift and make memories to last a lifetime. We believe that a child’s future success and advancement in life is greatly influenced by their early educational experience as those who have go to school early develop an interest in education more than those who have not participated in early learning education – learning how to get along in groups, work under teacher supervision, etc. They also receive encouragement to express their feelings and ideas through building, dancing, and drawing, playing, singing and speaking. And thus, at the end of their pre-school years, they have become more competent pupils and will be more advanced in some of their abilities and be ready to master their new environment in primary and secondary education. We are located at Kwa mrefu street in Arusha. We hope that through volunteers support we can save and give lighter through education to our children for future and other generation.

My name is Keneth Pascal Njau, but you can call me Kenny , the aim of this project is to change my community in a sustainable matter; by finding volunteers, by helping the children and youth who are living in poor families, by educating them so that they can grow up and influence our community, city and country for the better. We already noticed a lot of positive changes in the area through our projects so we want to continue our effort and make the organization and hence our community grow. I know that education is the key to open success for our children and our community. we love having volunteers here because they make a huge impact on our community. I enjoy matching people with a project that will help them feel fulfilled whilst arranging activities (like safari, mountain trekking and visiting hot springs/Massai village) . Volunteers will stay with our host family for all of their time they help in our NGO and online stuff. In the host family they get an opportunity to learn our culture and try variety Tanzania dishes. A volunteer can teach/work 4 -5 hours per day. Our volunteer need to have volunteer visa which allow them to work in community activities. And it's possible to get Volunteer visa upon you arrival at Kilimajaro International Airport (J.R.O). During your in classroom you will be assist with a resident teacher and help you to translate Swahili to English so he/she will give full of cooperation. On Friday it's known as sport day you will get an opportunity to be closed and more friendly with children's by playing and introduce different games. For a first day it could be orientation day, You will see how do they teach and they will show how you can teach and cooperate together to make easy for children's to understand. We love to show volunteers around the city and introduce them to our culture and traditions. When we aren't working or exploring I love to learn all about local animals and vegetation, cooking or enjoy a good movie. Welcome! {karibu sana}. HAKUNA MATATA
