Ferme équestre des Écuries d'Argent

If you are an experienced rider, you can find here an experience in a farm with horse whispering and horsemanship training. If you love dogs and cats, if you love nature and are not afraid of hard work, this is the place for you! Here you’ll find silence and peace, and also many splendid places to visit.

ACCOMODATION :
Winter: We have a guest house which is closed in winter, where our volunteers can stay during this period. They will heat the place themself with logs, so they will have to saw and haul the fireplace wood. In this lodge, volunteers would share the dormitory, bathroom, living room, kitchen. They have to keep the place clean at all time.
Summer: If the lodge is not available, we have rooms in the main house to welcome them. Volunteers there would have their own bedroom, couples can have a double bed room.

We live in a county called Berry located in the center of France between Orléans (60 km) and Bourges (50 km). Just west is the county called Sologne, where nature is all around, though we are at only 2 hours from Paris. East is the Sancerre valley. Our house is an 18th century farm surrounded by fields and lands. I am a salesgirl and I represent ecological products for a german company. I am also a chinese medicine practitioner for horses (Shiatsu). I am an animal and nature lover. [UPDATE 2023: We don’t have availability for a position in horse care only but mainly to help outside with the bush clearing, using the bush-cutter, driving the tractor to grind the fields, apart from helping a bit with the animals and the handling of horses.
