Glencoe Outdoor Centre Hostel

The Glencoe Outdoor Centre is a registered charity that normally hosts school groups from all over the UK, often with highly subsidised fees, in order to allow those from all walks of life to experience the majesty and natural beauty of the Scottish highlands as well as the numerous outdoor pursuits available within the area.

In August, while the outdoor centre itself is closed for its annual team holidays, we re-open as a pop-up backpackers hostel in order to raise funds for the organisation.

I'm Sam, 32 year old son of the directors, and I run the hostel on their behalf with the help of my partner, Gaja. We're looking for kind mountain loving people who wanna come hang out and trade their food and accommodation for some cleaning shifts. We've space for 4/5 volunteers - its bunkbeds and access to shared bathrooms. If there's two of you you can have a room to yourselves, solo cats will have to share. All (vegetarian) meals provided, you will be expected to cook a simple dinner for each other once per week. We've two cute wee cats, a gorgeous river in the back garden for swimming, and the mountains are just outside the door.. The enthusiasm to explore the surrounding nature is an essential requirement!
