Global Community in Busan, the best city in South Korea

The best place to enjoy your traveling and staying in Korea. Meeting a life of friends from Korea and all of the world. Learning and experiencing everything about Korea.

I started this project, named LanCul (Language and Culture) for foreign travelers to meet Korean friends and learn Korean language and culture as well as Korean English learners to meet foreign friends and talk in English with them. Our community provides warm and lively space to Korean students and volunteers to interact each other. They meet and talk in English about a variety of topics, cultures and ideas. Foreign community members can also share their experience and information with other volunteers from all of the world. I am looking for volunteers who can help Korean members improve their English and help run our community.

I volunteered here for 2 weeks and had a great experience! The work is not difficult (just be prepared to talk a lot), and the location is very convenient. The accommodation provided is decent, organized, and spacious. Above all, Andy is an amazing host. He is very responsive, flexible and understanding. I had some issues during my stay, and he took my concerns very seriously and quickly took action to fix the situation. Would recommend this place to anyone who wants to experience Busan for a while!

The host initially placed volunteers in a room with 8 bunk beds, and everything seemed fine. However, weeks later, I was falsely accused of something without explanation and told to leave. Attempts to resolve the issue were ignored as the host treated me like a criminal, dismissing my side of the story. Using past issues with other volunteers as an excuse, he unfairly labeled me a problem. His authoritarian and rude behavior made it clear he wasn’t open to resolution. I cannot recommend this place, especially if you are Latino

I made my mind when you told me 'what's wrong' and 'I don't know anything'. A worldpacker told me feeling uncomfortable because of you and you did not stop. Another worldpacker told me to leave early because you. And another person said got insulted by what you said. The problem is you told me you do not know anything. As a host, I should take care of each of worldpackers. If you have no idea why other people feel stressed by you even thinking to leave, you should not live with other people. You still do not know what is problem so I think I have to report this issue to Worldpackers.

This was my first volunteer and was an incredible experience. The city and people of Busan are super friendly, so you will feel at home. The job is an amazing opportunity to dive into local culture and share experiences with a wide range of personalities.

Volunteering at LanCul was an amazing first experience! I met volunteers from around the world, exchanged insights, and engaged with locals through conversation classes. It was truly enriching.

The accommodation is basic but functional, with all essentials provided. Volunteers handle weekly cleaning, each assigned to a room.

The area is lively, near Pusan University, with plenty of shops and restaurants. A subway station nearby takes you to hotspots in 40-60 minutes.

Busan is a beautiful city, combining mountains, beaches, nature, and the vibrancy.

I definitely recommend LanCul!
