Explore Los Angeles and help with Repairs and Maintenance: Live with a Local

-I think I am the only Homestay in Los Angeles - so if you want to stay wit a local instead of a hostel, I am the place. Stay in the middle of Los Angeles, with someone who knows the city well - I work in the tourist industry, but only sell to large groups. Home is located in the "Encino Hills" area with walking trails through the Santa Monica Mountains just 4 houses away, and the city close-by.

-Opportunity to practice your DIY (Do it yourself) skills or acquire new ones.
- Improve your English Language Skills

-You will be a member of a household, NOT WORKING IN A HOSTEL OR HOTEL. This means plenty of time to answer your questions about the projects you are working on, how to maximize your free time, what to see and do in Los Angeles, etc. - Work just 3 days a week, enjoying 4 full days off to explore everything LA has to offer. Always happy to assist with language practice, and/or planning your itinerary. You will also have invitations to join me for social activities and excursions. -Meals provided: breakfast everyday. Lunch and Dinner on work days. Can accommodate vegetarian guests. You may use the kitchen on your free days, if you aren't at the beach. I do not write invitation letters. you must get your own visa.

Overall I had a very good time at Brian's! Especially when it comes to planning your free time here in LA Brian is the best person to do it with!!! So many awesome recommendations!!

Brian was my first experience of Worldpackers and I couldn't have asked for a better one. He's a great host who really wants his guests to have the best time they can in LA and accordingly he is always willing to help you make plans, adapt the work schedule around your plans etc. The work was engaging and in an interesting setting and the food provided by Brian's excellent cooking on workdays meant I was always very well fed. I had a great time in Los Angeles and really discovered the city like I didn't think I would and can't thank Brian enough.

Brian is one of the most wonderful Americans you will ever meet. He is intellectual, generous, and has a wonderful personality. Dandy is the cute little dog who loves to play. You will enjoy playing with him. The house is clean and beautiful. The duties are easy. The neighborhood is quiet and beautiful and you can go hiking. I will not tell you about how good Brian is at Cooking You will know this yourself. If you do not like a certain dish that your mom cooked for you, just tell Brian to cook it for you and you will love it, I promise you that. Thank you Brian for this special experience.

Bryan is careful with who he hosts, great time to learn new things and share experiences, and I had great accommodation in his house. You just need to be careful with everything is provided to you. So it can keep great to others come! :) Truly recommended.

Brian was a great host, super knowledgeable on all things LA. The work was not difficult at all and it was always clear what needed to be done. Lots of free time & overall a super great experience. I’m very grateful for the time I got to spend in Brian’s home
