A volunteer who comes and stays with us could benefit both of a cosy, family atmosphere and also plenty of opportunities to get to know the city, the culture, the language and anything else he might be interested in about Belgium. Having lived here for 14 years , I could offer some good advice about visits, cheap market places, day trips etc.

Being a travel and languages enthusiast myself, I think it will be beneficial for both our family and the volunteer to exchange elements of our cultures and to interact not only through scheduled activities with the children but also on the volunteer's free time, which will be valued and highly respected.

I had a very pleasant experience in this volunteer program. Ioanna is an exceptional person, always attentive and willing to help with any questions. She made sure I had everything I needed, which made me feel very comfortable. I had the opportunity to take care of her children, who are lovely and well-mannered. The tasks were simple and easy to carry out. Additionally, the hostel has an excellent location. I highly recommend this experience.

Ioanna is a great host and an excellent cook. The boys have a lot of energy and are fun to be around.

My stay at Ioanna's house was great! The shifts were only a few hours a day which allowed me to explore the city or nearby places. Ioanna was always concerned about food since I am a vegetarian, and she made me a lot of delicious food!!
I had a really good time with Ioanna and the boys, thank you!

I had an amazing time staying with Ioanna and her two boys! She is super warm and welcoming and makes you feel right at home, always ready with conversation and tips for exploring Belgium. The boys were lovely to work with, they're so sweet and full of personality, especially after they get to know you. The schedule was very flexible and well communicated, and there was plenty of free time to explore Brussels and other cities as well, and the house is also very central. Also Ioanna's cooking was delicious, and always with my allergies in mind. A massive thank you to Ioanna for everything!!😊

It was lovely staying and volunteering with Ioanna and the kids, Leonidas and Achilles. The food yummy and varied, and there was always something new to try. The house is very central so you can easily make day trips to other city and of course discover Brussels. It was very inspiring to live with Ioanna’s family. She has many great travelling stories and tips for recommendations :) thank you and hope to see you soon somewhere in the world 😁
