We think that our hostel, with our current image has a lot to offer to young people and we think that Sarajevo is an awesome and interesting city with a lot of history.

We are looking for volunteers who would be happy to work in a amazing hostel with amazing people and lot of interesting guests from all around the world in the center of Sarajevo.

This was an amazing experience, the tasks are super chill, the hours are respected and the other staff members sara and edin are wonderful. Unkas is a super nice host and easy to work with. Having the seperate volunteer apartment away from the hostel was really nice and a good way to seperate work and fun. also the weekly money we were given for breakfast was more than enough and very generous of unkas. definitely recommend especially if you’re new to volunteering as this is a good starting point

Unkas was great! This was my first volunteering experience so I wasn’t sure what to expect. The hours are good, the apartment for the volunteers was amazing to have our own space away from work, the staff were so nice. I would recommend Unkas and Balkan Han to everyone!!

This was my first volunteering experience. Living in Sarajevo for half a month was wonderful. Unkas provided accommodation for the volunteers, an apartment apart from the hostel. The accommodation‘s location is almost in the heart of the city. The tasks and responsibilities at the hostel were exactly as described on the website says. Moreover, the working hours were always respected. The volunteers were given money on a weekly basis. I really liked this experience. Thank you so much for everything.

I had an amazing time in Sarajevo with Unkas and the team. They are amazing people I had fun to work with. They really made me feel welcomed and appreciated. The tasks were very easy and aligned with the description of the job. As volunteers we lived all together in an appartment few minutes away from the Hostel (because of high season). That was a good surprise. I will probably go back there another time, to work or at least to visit these amazing people. I really recommend this place so you can have a taste of the Bosnian hospitality :)

During my stay at Balkan Han Hostel, hosted by Mr. Unkas, I had a wonderful experience. The hostel had a warm atmosphere, and respecting the set schedules helped maintain a peaceful environment for everyone. I enjoyed learning and having fun through various activities that connected me with people from different cultures. Overall, my time there was delightful, and I left with great memories and a desire to return.
