Hostel Hangout

Volunteers will have the opportunity to know the local culture and hang out with many international guests.
We are close to the seaside and there are some hiking routes around to go on foot. Many turist attractions and touristic places are closeby and reachable by bus/train in a short time.
We are opened newly and everything at the hostel is brand-new. We provide a very comfortable and friendly environment.

I had been volunteering for three years before opening my own hostel. I experienced how it is to be a volunteer. We are easy-going people enjoying to be among guests, to know new people and culture.

BAR é o nome da cidade. Isso pode confundir alguns voluntários pensando que vai se voluntáriar em um hostel onde funciona um bar/pub também. O Hostel é literalmente uma casa e quem administra é o próprio dono que também mora no hostel. O hostel fica próximo da estação de ônibus e da estação de trem, mas fica a uns 30 minutos caminhando da praia, mas tem opção de ônibus local e a passagem é barata. Tem até bastante opção de mercado. Eu recomendo esse hostel para quem quer descansar, pois o trabalho é simples, fácil, pouco e muito silencioso. Não recomendo para quem não fala inglês.

It was my first volunteering experience, and I’m very happy it ended up being here! Bar is a pleasant town located on the coast, with a stunning old town and a fortress that you can explore for hours. The hostel itself feels very homey, clean and calm. Emra is always available for any questions, well-organized, respects working hours and always ensures that the volunteers don’t miss anything. I was happy to come during the summer, as I met wonderful people and gained lifelong memories. Thank you very much! Highly recommend.

I had a great stay at Hostel Hangout! Very homely with great facilities. Lots of free time to explore Bar. The work was good, everything was respected. Bar itself is a great location to be based with easy access to transportation to visit all other areas along the coast and the capital city. The hostel is conveniently located between the old town and new city, within walking distance for both. Emre is very kind and generous. You are never overworked. Less touristy than other places so perfect to have some downtime. Would definitely recommend and happily visit again. Thank you for everything! ❤

I had a great time at Hostel Hangout! Bar is an amazing city, and there is so much to do in the surrounding area. I will truly miss it!
Emre is an excellent host and cares a lot about showing both the guests and volunteers all the experiences that Montenegro has to offer. The work is simple and easy. Emre cares a lot about his hostel and has some specific standards, so be sure to listen to his instructions. He also respects the schedule and is flexible with the days off.
Overall, it's been a fantastic experience. I'll never forget the memories that I've made and the people I've met here!

I recommend this volunteer with my eyes closed. First of all the owner has already made many volunteers so he knows about both sides! He want your help and not an employee! The hostel task is simple and the schedule is fulfilled! The city is small but has many things to do! Hug to Emre, excellent host!
