Hvar is beautiful and the hostel is stunning! The accommodation for the staff is great and the lunch/pizza that Mariana does, are delicious. The job and the hours are exactly what we agree with at the beggining, it's easy but I can say it's quite exhaustive to go out 6 days a week haha I can say that I didn't have any problems with the hosts, but unfortunately I saw some attitudes they had with other volunteers that I didn't like and created a bad atmosphere. I hope they change and no longer have this type of behavior, because then everyone would have a wonderful experience!

I worked at reception in Villa Skansi and let me tell you it was a great experience. I worked four hours a day taking guests to their room and explaining to where the facilities are and what the hostel offers. The rest of the day we had it to ourselves to explore the island. Lunches provided were always delicious! Pizza is great as well but it might get a little tiring after a while. Communication can be improved. You have to reach out to host to answer any questions. Over all it was a great experience! I made good friends with the staff & met lots of people from all around the world!

The hostel was very nice and social. The lunches were amazing and it was nice that we got free dinner every day also. I thought I would get sick of the pizza but it was so good that I didn’t! The hostel was very social and it was nice getting to meet so many other travelers. The job was fun, handing out the free pizza and socializing with guests before leading them to the pub crawl at night. Just make sure you are communicating with the host about what needs to be done/ what your days off will be. The island is also beautiful and it was nice since we had the days off to explore!

This hostel was a very beautiful, the sights from the hostel itself, were amazing. I met so many amazing guests from all around the world, and loved speaking to every single one of them! As far as the hours, it is 4 hours everyday. If you’re on bar crawl you have the whole day free which is good. You work everyday and get one day off after 7-8 days, but lunch and dinner are included everyday which is nice. The lunches are absolutely amazing, but the dinner every night is pizza, so get ready for that! The hosts were nice but sometimes communication was not there, but overall nice place!

Eu tive uma experiência maravilhosa no Hostel Villa Skansi. Foi minha primeira vez viajando pelo worldpackers e ficando num hostel, recomendo demais! O trabalho na recepção era sempre tranquilo e divertido, os horários sempre respeitados. A principal coisa que tornaria a experiência ainda melhor é a comunicação com a host, principalmente antes de chegar até o hostel (uma vez lá vc entende que quase tudo deve ser resolvido com os outros voluntários e com as meninas da recepção).
