I loved the time at HOJ!! We were a group of volunteers working at the hostel and soon grew very close.
We had a new schedule every week which included daily activities and reception work. I have never done this kind of work before so I was very grateful for all the help everyone offered me until I was totally sure what I have to do.
It was a great place to get to know other travelers and make new friends.
A big thank you especially to Cheryl and Rayson who have welcomed me and all the other volunteers big hearted and made it a home for us.

I loved my stay at House of Journey! Rayson and Cheryl totally trust the volunteers and are helpful. The hostel is running by the volunteers so it felt like a little family. The tasks are easy and fun - I had an amazing time and can recommend the stay at House of Journey!

very nice experience!The hostel is managed all by volunteers so that I can know a lot about running a guesthouse. Cheryl and Rayson are nice hosts and helpful all the time.
The accommodation is also very good. Cozy beds and great location where I can reach many local restaurants in a few steps.
If you like party, this would be your best option in Georgetown.

I absolutely loved volunteering at House of Journey. Cheryl and Rayson are amazing people and they trust their volunteers and it’s a great place to meet people and make new friends. I would absolutely recommend everybody to go here! I even extended my stay because I loved it so much. I really hope to come back :-)

Definitely my favorite volunteering! I loved every single moment of it. I felt at home like I haven’t felt for a long time . I got to share the experience with other amazing volunteers that have become friends. The hosts Cheryl and Rayson are extremely nice and welcoming, made us feel part of the HOJ family. I also had the chance to make friends with travelers from all over the world. The tasks were easy and well organized: reception, bookings, check in and check outs and organizing fun activities for the guests. No housekeeping. Couldn’t recommend it more. Hope to come back soon. Thank you❤️
