Job Description

Guest Service Host Job Responsibilities Include:

-Bringing positive energy and great local knowledge about San Diego to all travelers who visits.
-Welcome and host guests at reception according to company standards
-Maintaining organization and coordinate procedures for daily arrivals
-Embrace company culture to develop and maintain positive working relationships
-Maintain a safe, clean and friendly environment for world travelers
-Support team to reach daily and annual goals-Show warm gratitude to thankful guests
-Assist guests with miscellaneous concerns so they have a wonderful stay, follow up to ensure each has been met to guests' satisfaction-Sell beds and rooms to guests without reservations
-Be prepared for sold-out situations and obtain alternative accommodations for guests with reservations
-Operate efficiently with our Property Management System
-Run and check daily reports-Supply guests with directions and information
-Arrange transportation and activities for guests
-Count and secure bank at beginning and end of shift
-Follow company policies and procedures
-Process payments and provide change
-Assist management in motivating and coaching employees; serve as a role model for other employees
-Protect company assets-Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time throughout the shift
-Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 10 pounds.
-Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Managers

Reception Shifts are 8 hours long. You can work from 3 to 5 shifts per week. Depending on the schedule.
Housekeeping Shifts are 4 hours long.

The room and board has the value of $750 (96 hours of labor per month). The Cultural Exchange room is shared between 6 members. You also get free breakfast everyday from 6 am to 10 am, free dinner 6 x per week and free laundry.

Is asked for this position that the employee cook one time a week for the whole hostel. Training will be provided.
Is asked for this position that the employee run one activity with our guests per week and some activities you can even get money to run it!

Pay rate is $11 per hour.
