Keppler Farm

Our farm is set on 23ha in the Czech Highlands with fields, orchards, forest and streams. The area is enjoyed by those who like hiking and being in nature.

We share in the household chores together such as cooking and cleaning, for those that are less able to cook we ask for more help on the clean up after. Those that have a sense of responsibility and self motivation may enjoy the farm more as we do not wish to micro manage tasks. We have a two week minimum stay because it takes a few days to learn about the farm and caring for the animals.

Personal growth, these are the perfect words to describe this experience, the constant dedication on the part of Huck and Klara is evident, always concerned with teaching me more and more, since the first day they tried to help me in every aspect, learning new things on the farm, with the horses or even advice for the future life.
I felt at home, comfortable, welcomed and happy to share these two weeks with such wise people and wonderful animals.

For future travelers, the best thing I can advise is to listen to all the advice and daily concern that the hosts show.

Klara and Huck are both very nice and straightforward people, and also a very good company. I really enjoyed my time there, and I learned a lot about horses, farm life, and myself. Klara's meals are very delicious:)
The work is sometimes tiring, but you get to be outside, the highlands are calm and beautiful. Klara and Huck helped me with everything, and it was a relief to get away from a busy city and work there in the nature, with animals, and getting to know two amazing person:) (But I'm not going to lie, I'm going to miss Katie the most) Thank you for everything, I hope I can go again soon

My stay at Keppler Farm was very fulfilling! I learnt so much about farm life & owning horses. Huck’s house is very beautiful. You have the chance to learn about forestry and making fences for the farm, which was interesting. Spending time with the horses was very nice, and Huck teaches you how to train them properly. You start the day at 9am and feed the horses, then some of the tasks differ daily. The horses have different personalities and are all very cute! I will miss them!! The dinners were very nice also - Klara is an excellent cook and such a lovely person :)

Had such a great time with Huck, Klara, Tim and of course Katie. The work was very manageable, and definitely enjoyable if you like being outdoors. The countryside is beautiful, and I was provided with everything I needed and more! Highly recommend for anyone looking for hands on work in a fun and comfortable environment. I would return in a heart beat, thank you for having me!

Me and two of my friends stayed at the Keppler Farm for 6 weeks and had a great time being there! Huck and Klara are great hosts, who provide and care for you. The work there was much fun and you get used to it pretty easily. You have to be prepared for things to be explained to you intensively and repetitively often, which can be draining sometimes. Nevertheless there were communication problems in some situations, but we talked that out. All in all we did have an amazing time at the farm, with the horses, Klara, Huck, the ducks and Katie!
