I am a lifeguard for hiking and adventure guide. so I can take every volunteer to hike with me and make sure everything will be good. my crew: ●my hiking crew and mountain ranger ●driver/rider for taking the volunteer around. ●tattoo maker, who made tattoos but the design is from me. you will know more about us when you stay here

The experience was very good and it is exactly what you are looking for if you are interested in learning about a local culture.
The culture shock is easy to deal with Hardy because you can talk and debate about all topics with him. Dyah, his wife, makes you feel at home, she was my mother during these ten days. Besides, her food is the most delicious.
The meetings with the people of Temanggung were amazing and the city is perfect if you are looking to connect with nature.
I recommend it 100%, but only if you are willing to live like a local.

My experience here was amazing if you would like to meet locals, Get a better understanding of Javanese culture, get to view some amazing places, have a deep talk with the host ( He is very knowledgeable and smart) this would be a place for you and you will feel lucky to bee here

This really was an awesome and memorable experience. You are going to live like a local and the food is as authentic as it gets. If you want to get in touch with real Javanese culture, meet locals and see real beautiful nature without mass tourism, go for it!

Had the best time in Temanggung with Hardy and his lovely family! They were so welcoming and made me feel at home right away. They really made sure I had the best and most authentic experience possible!
I got to see so many beautiful places and Temanggung really is such an underrated region! From waterfalls to amazing sunsets and experiences with the locals, the schedule covered everything. Supporting Hardi with his content creation and getting footage for social media to promote tourism together was super fun.
All in all, I would definitely recommend this Worldpackers experience!

Hardi and his family were very welcoming and kind making us fell like home. They were always aware that we were well. Hardi is very flexible with the plans we made
We did so many different activities in Temmangun which involved the gorgeous nature that the region has. It’s a place where you can be in touch with the nature all the time enjoying the silence.
You should be aware that you are going to live in humble conditions and where the communication is necessary from the beginning. If you would like to have free days around the region or visit other part of the island you should mention it.
