La Casa del Cangrejo Azul

La Casa del Cangrejo Azul is a place where you will really be in contact with nature and disconnected of everything. Here you will experience what is to wake up every morning and see the calm and quiet ocean infront of your door and have breakfast in the terrace with the breeze on your face, just as if it were your own house. You may see some wildlife arround here if you are lucky. The perfect place to have a real tropical experience and know a different culture.

Here we know that staff is the most important thing in any organization so we really care about the well-being of our team. Volunteers can be sure that they will be trated properly and they will feel as they are guests staying with us. We are a working but relaxed family most of the times. We will do our best to make them feel in home.

Costa Esmeralda se ha vuelto uno de mis lugares favoritos; en Casa del Cangrejo azul hice amistades invaluables, aprendí cosas más allá del trabajo, me sentí respetada y valorada en todos los sentidos.

Mi experiencia fue maravillosa, el lugar es precioso y Laura es nuy amable y accesible, el trabajo es agradable, se come delicioso y los perritos son de lo mas amigables, para mi primer voluntariado la experiencia fue de lo mas grata. Regrese a casa de lo mas contenta

This is second time volunteering with Laura. I first meet her in 2022 and decided to visit again. Laura is kind, considerate, and welcoming. She has no problem accommodating any need you have and she treats you like her own. She even bought me a cake for my birthday. Work is 4 hours a day. Expect your work days to start at 7am daily. The dogs are adorable and remembered me from my first visit. Keep in mind you will share a room with your fellow volunteers and prepare to be respectful of their needs also. I have noticed it’s best to work with a diverse group from all different countries.

Estuvimos un mes en casa de Laura y fue perfecto. Laura es una anfitriona increíble, es muy agradecida , siempre intentando ayudar para que te sientas bien e integrado y nos sentimos muy valorados en todo momento. En cuanto a las tareas, el trabajo es muy justo. Son 4horas y media al día y Laura está muy pendiente de que no hagas ni un minuto más. El horario es totalmente flexible siempre que la tarea lo permita.
Nos hemos reído mucho, dormido genial pero sobretodo, ¡hemos comido de maravilla!

We had a wonderful time with Laura at la Casa del Cangrejo azul. The beach is literally your garden, we had nice chats, delicious food and the dogs are lovely . The work consists mostly in walking the dogs on the beach in the morning and afternoon ,help with maintenance and gardening . Laura is really nice and if you need anything she is always there for you . She also very strict about not exceeding your working hours.
