La experiencia fue maravillosa, el lugar es hermoso y tranquilo.
Alessandro y su familia son muy amables y atentos, y te hacen sentir bienvenidos en el refugio, el trabajo fue sencillo y simple, las instrucciones muy claras. Lo único que no me agrado, es que fui la única voluntaria esperaba que hubiesen más personas con quienes compartir.

I stayed at La Rua refuge for two weeks. I helped them with planning for renovation of their new refuge, equipments/ tools needed but also painting walls.
Alessandro (the host) is a communicative person. He was in MACRA 1-2 days a week, but usually available via WhatsApp. His parents live close by and are in charge of the refuge, respectful kind people, only speak Italian.
Recommended for nature lovers 🌱🌱

I really loved this experience since it was something new for me, the location is really remote but I got the opportunity to connect with nature! Alessandro and Ober are really nice people and helped me feel welcome and finding information about transportation and things to do. Really recommend this experience.
