Not only are we located at the heart of London but we are very close to all the most famous tourist sites and they are all within a walking distance from each other. You will get to explore London without the hassle of travel. With fourteen hostels across the city, this is the perfect place to start your new adventure. For 80 years, we have provided young people and students long-term, co-living accommodation they love, and can afford. Here, you can familiarise yourself, socialise and decide whether or not to make London your permanent home.
The staff are very friendly and hospitable. At our place you wont feel lost have a diverse team from all corners of the world, always ready to welcome you and ensure you are part of the family. Good experience overall. I found a good team that made a difference. A bit tiring doing the same job for a month but serving dinner to the residents I had no complaints (good job seeing everyone). The room was comfortable, meals included which is a real plus in London!

As mentioned in a previous review, the place is not a typical backpackers hostel but rather has a lot of long term residents. As such, there are a few long term guests who are disrespectful to both the volunteers and the facilities. One of the male volunteers dorms seems to have a long standing issue with bed bugs which is slightly unsettling. However, Laurent and the team are lovely and it is in a perfect location to be able to see everything. Overall it was a good first experience and I am grateful for my time at LHA.

My volunteering was incredible at LHA. I met a lot of nice people and the job is as it is in terms. If you want to know London it's a great place to be. I recommend it!

This volunteer was one of the best places I've ever been. Good energy, very polite and friendly staff. I highly recommend. Thank you very much volunteers and the staff responsible for the hostel, it was a great experience.
