Lingo Language Center
Tendrías la posibilidad de conocer pueblos, paisajes, cascadas y rincones de Boyacá que pocas turistas tienen la posibilidad de conocer. Sería una experiencia única de compartir con la cultura boyacense y de perfeccionar el español (muy pocas personas en Paipa son bilingües). Y serías parte de un staff muy sociable con el cual contaras con amigos dispuestos a compartir aventuras 😊
En el momento el equipo está conformado por dos personas un profesor licenciado en Idiomas y una administrativa. Somos un centro de Lenguas nuevo en Paipa(Y el primero ;) ). El profesor es muy divertida y un apasionado por su profesión. Le encanta hacer las clases muy dinámicas y divertidas para los estudiantes. Ama la bicicleta y realizar caminatas en los pueblos cercanos. La administrativa es una chica sociable le encanta aprender idiomas y es la creadora del Instituto. Disfruta de la naturaleza y la comida local :D Ahora, buscamos unos voluntariados que tienen ganas de dar clases de inglés o ayudar a una empresa extender su alcance por las redes sociales. Se prefiere que los voluntariados tengan experiencia con la ensenañza o con la administración de redes sociales. (Right now, we are looking for volunteers who wish to teach English classes or help a small business grow its social media outreach. Volunteers with teaching or social media management experience are preferred.)

Emilia is a great host, the sweetest and most accommodating person with a very contagious laugh! She will make you feel very welcome. You will live in a house half an hour from Paipa, out in the countryside with dogs and a cat. There’s busses going into town or you will catch a ride with Emilia. The students are curious and you get a lot of responsibility having the classes on your own. Great way to practice your Spanish! I encourage to ask lots of questions, Emilia is happy to answer them but she has a lot going on so don’t be afraid to ask. Overall had a good stay. Will miss you Emilia!

Working for Emilia was a lot of fun. She‘s a really hard-working, inspiring and motivating person, but at the same time very patient and spontaneous. She never gets angry, when things don’t go as planned or when the volunteer (me) locks himself out of his room at 3am - haha.
Also her students in Lingo Language are really fun and eager to learn. Teaching English to someone that only speaks Spanish really helps you to improve both your Spanish and English. I loved every second of it, thank you so much Emilia! <3

The students are absolutely wonderful! I have taught english before but even if you havent its pretty simple to pick up and the students are fun and helpful. The house in the countryside is cute and the cat and dogs out there are sweet! Make sure you plan on making all of your own meals! If you are wanting to socialize a lot this isn't the place but it is a great place to teach english and have some peaceful time in the countryside. You need to be pretty independent to do this one but I enjoyed it! It gets cold so pack accordingly! Thanks Emily! So much love!

The experience in the school was overall good, the classes are easy to handle and the students are very nice and respectful.
The stay is in Tuta, which is a rural area and the school is in Paipa, which is a cute city. If you expect to have social life I don't recommend it but if you are instead looking for a relaxing time with beautiful nature and great food, then it is perfect.

I really enjoyed my time volunteering at Lingo Language school. Emilia was a lovely and welcoming host. Teaching the classes was more of a challenge than I expected at the start as I went in thinking I would be assisting teaches, but it was a rewarding experience and I had a lot of support. Juan Pablo (another teacher at Lingo) was very helpful and happy to answer any questions I had. This was a great respite from a couple of months of travelling as the town and house are very relaxing. Everyone in the town was very friendly and I felt very safe here.
