If you love mountains, hospitality and sports, the hostel will be your place. The hostel is like our "baby" and we take good care of it in order to give people that come here a good experience so we expect you to do the same. Our accomondation is very simple but we care a lot about how our guests feel and the connection between people. Especially during the pandemic, a lot of guests told us that they have "gained their trust in humanity back" when staying with us.
Everybody working at the hostel develops a big connection to the place. It can get very busy at times so we are all investing a lot of work and energy in these moments but at the same time get a lot back from the place and its beautiful surroundings in exchange.

The Mountain Hostel was the perfect first volunteering experience. Janine, all of the work staff and the other volunteers were so welcoming and easy to get along with. I worked just 4 hours in the morning nearly everyday which left me with practically the entire day free - it's really well set up and gives you lots of time to explore Switzerland. I highly recommend volunteering here if you're thinking about it. I heard that the summer is especially nice :)

A beautiful place with beautiful people.
I loved volunteering here, I met so many amazing people, and some friends I will have for life. It is so surreal opening up the curtains each morning to the view of the mountains right in front of your eyes.
I would recommend this experience to anyone, and I will definitely be back.
The hostel regularly puts on gigs/social events which brings in many locals and tourists, meaning there is always new people to meet!

This was my first volunteering and it was amazing, i had an awesome time in Mountain Hostel, i got to meet people and made friends that i will never forget and also memories that i will always have with me.
I know i’m coming back someday, that place has something special and that’s the people who make it feel like a home.

The vibe of the hostel is very chill. All the volunteers really established the environment of the hostel; very welcoming. The hours to work were only 4 hours a day for 5 days. The work is really easy. The hostel itself is very cozy and the area is really beautiful; classic amazing Swiss mountains.

Volunteering at the mountain hostel was amazing! Work was easy and what was expected (cleaning the kitchen, bathroom, bedrooms, etc.). The staff were very easy going and nice to all the volunteers. I made lifelong friends while at the mountain hostel and had a blast every single day. I also had plenty of time to explore the area and go on hikes because most days you work in the morning. I would definitely recommend volunteering here! This is the place for you if you are a social butterfly and enjoy the outdoors.
