We are a hostel in the beach, close to the city center, you will easily find any kind of shops and services.
La Cicer, the surfing part of the famous Las Canteras beach is just around the corner.
With a nice walk on the promenade you can easily get to El Confital, which is a little piece of nature by the city. Perfect for surfing, bodyboarding, running, exercising, meditation or practicing yoga. Our strength is our location and the vibes.

If this is not your first hostel experience, you already know you will be part of a family, if this is going to be your first adventure, dont worry, we are going to take care of you :)

Fue una gran experiencia, Miguel es un gran anfitrión que se preocupa por todos dando flexibilidad en turnos de trabajo y ofreciendo sus tablas de surf a todos los voluntarios, además de vez en cuando propone salir a tomar algo o escuchar buena música en establecimientos cercanos fomentando la comunicación y el buen rollo entre todos!!
Muy agradecida por todo Miguel! Me he sentido muy agusto y integrada en toda la experiencia, mil gracias.Recomendable 💯

I had an amazing experience at Pura Vida. Miguel, the host, is very friendly, available for assistance and easygoing.
One of the highlights was being able to choose our shifts and everyone in the team was very welcoming and friendly, creating a warm and inclusive atmosphere.
It was my first volunteering experience and I absolutely loved it and felt at home!
Definitely recommend it!

Mi experiencia en Pura Vida me la llevo en el corazon, los voluntarios y yo fuimos un gran equipo y sobretodo gracias a Miguel por ser como es y por siempre asegurarse de que estuvieramos comodos y contentos. Tiene unos horarios muy flexibles en los que puedes conocer la isla, hacer surf, montar en bici o lo que quieras! La recomendaria al 100% y ojala alguna vez volver a repetirla :)

This was my second experience volunteering at a hostel. I had to get used to the new vibes a little bit since my first hostel was so different, but I quickly got used to everything. The nice atmosphere in the hostel and the fun guests helped with this.
Miguel is a good host, really helpful and really respectful of the working times. Scheduling in the next work week is often last minute but very flexible, so it has never been a problem in my experience.
All in all, I had a great time with the other volunteers at Pura Vida and I would definitely like to come back one day!

Working at the Pura Vida Hostel was awesome, with its amazing location near the beach and a great team of Volunteers . Our host Miguel was super welcoming and friendly and made it a great experience from day one. Plus, the fair working hours made it easy to balance work and free time exploring the island, surfing and of course partying as well!
It was my first volunteering experience and Miguel, the guests and the place felt like home immediately. I can highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for an awesome and unforgettable experience :)
