Quinta Japonesa

Working in the tranquil setting of Quinta Japonesa, doesn't feel like work. And you help a family making a living.
There is a grocery shop/restaurant/cafe nearby just 2,5km and we are 12 km from the nearest city Caldas da Rainha and 20 minutes from the beach Foz do Arelho.

We are a family with 2 young children and have 6 accommodations, and about 3600m2 terrain to be maintained. We ask about 4 hours of work per day and you get a free stay and a free dinner (if you want to).

What can we say about Michalle and Thomas!
They were absolutely amazing ! We learned a lot about the area and the culture while staying there !
The car was helpful and the room was perfect , also Friday night with the kids was a great idea 🍕

The only thing we wish we had known before coming is that we have to work on other aspects than social media but we talked to Michalle about the situation and she managed to handle it professionally and with all respect 🥰

Planing to come back with our future kids for sure

Thank you for everything and we wish we could give more to the place

This was my first volunteer experience as well as my first international trip. Michelle and Tomas set the bar high. The location was so beautiful and peaceful. My accommodations were cozy and comfortable. The lunches were very good and different all the time. Michelle sent me so many recomendations of where to go and what to see, I had a blast exploring the suggestions offered. The work was consistent and fair. Michelle and Tomas was such a pleasure to work for. I look forward to returning to Quinta Japonase in the future.

Oh this lovely experience, I will always recommend it! It offers a real contact with nature, comfortable housing, amazing place and beautiful people. They made me feel like family and gave me great tasks to follow, I felt comfortable during the whole time and learned a lot. As I visited during low season, contact with guests was minimum and some of my social media tasks were changed to helping with remodeling, driving or even helping cleaning. It is far in the mountains, and driving is almost a must. I will come back, this place really have a special place in my heart.

Meu voluntario foi junto com a minha mãe e poder compartilhar um espaço familiar, tranquilo e muito aconchegante me deixou muito contente!
Michelle e Thomas sempre fazendo ou mos levando para vários eventos como noite de pizza com filme e idas à restaurante locais e musicais.
Eles deixam usar o carro dos voluntários para as locomoções a qual ajuda muito
