Working in the tranquil setting of Quinta Japonesa, doesn't feel like work. And you help a family making a living.
There is a grocery shop/restaurant/cafe nearby just 2,5km and we are 12 km from the nearest city Caldas da Rainha and 20 minutes from the beach Foz do Arelho.
We are a family with 2 young children and have 6 accommodations, and about 3600m2 terrain to be maintained. We ask about 4 hours of work per day and you get a free stay and a free dinner (if you want to).

This experience has been really good, the host his kind and friendly and the place it's amazing. The work was quite easy and flexible, but sometimes the host doesn't explain perfectly the work so I had some problems do to it good. Except this little thing, I suggest you this experience if you are looking for a chilly and enjoyable experience in Portugal

Quinta Japonesa was a great experience. A great place to completely disconnect and enjoy the nature around you. Tasks were simple - washing and cleaning but were spread throughout the day. The volunteering car made our whole experience as it gave you a chance to explore local towns like Nazare and Obidos(which I’d highly recommend). Michelle and Tomaz are two very interesting people, full of knowledge. The lunches we had made for us were 10/10. We would highly recommend this experience for those looking to disconnect. We both have so much love for Michelle and Tomaz and wish them all the best

Michelle is the most amazing host! I truly had the best first experience with Worldpackers and I’m grateful it was with her at Quinta Japonesa. I enjoyed spending time doing a variety of tasks like gardening, laundry, preparing rooms, and taking pictures. The accommodations were amazing. She is also so knowledgeable about so many amazing things to do all around Portugal which made for such a cool experience. She has a wonderful family too!
