Solar do Cosme
We're located at a neocolonial style house in a bucolic and 24-hour safe street in the Southern region of Rio city, which has just been refurbished and became very charming and cozy. We offer 9 customized comfortable rooms with garden views, air conditioning, free wireless internet, and three wide bathrooms throughout the house. Other facilities include a common area, a large kitchen, a swimming pool, a lounge with a cozy balcony with benches and a garden, and beautiful landscapes. Our breakfast includes different kinds of bread, delicious tropical fruit and healthy juices.
The Cosme Velho district is a hidden jewel inside a tropical forest in the Southern region of Rio de Janeiro city. In our surroundings there are some nice restaurants and on Saturdays there is a fair with “samba/chorinho” music, caipirinhas, and several fruit and handcrafts for sale.
Due to our strategic location, we are less less than 9km from the main touristic attractions of the city, such as Copacabana, Ipanema and Leblon beaches, as well as the Sugar Loaf, Santa Teresa and Lapa. Several bus lines are just a 4-minute-walk away, and the Metro Station is 3 km away.
As a worldpacker, you will have a room that you only share with another worldpacker, you’ll have freshly served breakfast every day and delighting home-made lunch as wel. Laundry is also included. It’s good to highlight that the house has enough open spaces to sit dawn and read, relax by the side of the pool, or simply watch a movie on the comfy and heartwarming living room.
But the most important aspect of it all is our wonderful team. The staff is so friendly that we often end up going out together to enjoy dinner, going for a walk around Rio’s countless beauties, participating in a good movie night/museum day, or simply sharing a conversation between friends who love Rio. Your stay at Solar do Cosme will not only offer you great accommodation, delicious food and excellent location, it’ll make you see Rio with the eyes of a local “carioca” and feel it with the heart of a Brazilian
