We're one of the few places in town that work with volunteers, so you'll get to meet other backpackers and explore Antigua doing different activities, all while being kind to your wallet. What's important to us is that you have a good time and take our guests along with you when doing so.
You'll be surrounded by a team of friendly locals, happy to share their culture with you and learn about yours, and you'll be roommates with fellow backpacking volunteers, having the best of both worlds. Volunteering with us also opens the door to other opportunities in Antigua, with the businesses we partner with.

Somos is such a wonderful place, I could not have asked for a better first Worldpacker experience. Somos is the perfect blend of cozy and social, making it a great place to volunteer. It’s truly a home away from home. All of the work and hours are well communicated, and you can even request specific activities or days off before the schedule gets made. The accommodations are so comfortable and the kitchen makes it easy to prepare your own meals if you want. The staff is lovely, the work is fun, and antigua is an amazing place to stay for a long time :) I wish I could stay even longer.

My time at Somos was amazing!! The work was super fun and easy, the activities that you run let you get to experience all of Antigua. The best part of the whole volunteering experience was the people I met, I made some lifelong friends and we had the most amazing time together!

Had so much fun at Somos! Andrea and Jonathan were awesome to be around and be trained by. Met some lifelong friends who were also volunteering, would highly recommend volunteering at Somos!

I had an amazing time at Somos, all the staff is super lovely and friendily, it's not a very big hostel so it has more of an cozy and family enviroment, but also a lot of places near by to go to, either for partying or just to have a really good cup of coffe with discount. I really recommend it, and I think it's one of the best places to be at in Antigua :)

Somos is a lovely place, my first time volunteering and I can say I have the most wonderful experience. Everyone makes you feel at home, all the staff is friendly and kind all the time. Andrea is a great host, she's always helping us with anything we might need.
I'm greatful for having the opportunity to share this experience with everyone there.
