We are a hostel in the beach, close to the city center, you will easily find any kind of shops and services.
La Cicer, the surfing part of the famous Las Canteras beach is just around the corner.
With a nice walk on the promenade you can easily get to El Confital, which is a little piece of nature by the city. Perfect for surfing, bodyboarding, running, exercising, meditation or practicing yoga. Our strength is our location and the vibes.
If this is not your first hostel experience, you already know you will be part of a family, if this is going to be your first adventure, dont worry, we are going to take care of you :)

Pura Vida was the best first volunteering experience I could have hoped for. The staff was incredibly welcoming and effortlessly created a team culture that was one of a kind. Having 4 days off was also lovely because it gave you ample opportunity to explore the island or to relax and develop a nice routine. I couldn’t recommend it more. Thank you Miguel!!

I volunteered here and it was one of my first solo trips. It couldn’t have gone better. Everyone was instantly so welcoming as soon as I arrived. The volunteers were instant friends. The hostel has a great location and is perfect if you want to spend time at the beach and get better at surfing. The host is really relaxed and friendly and the hostel has an overall inclusive and fun vibe. Would really recommend to anyone thinking of going solo travelling, I felt very safe here on my own and made friends with people of all nationalities!

It was a really great experience with Pura Vida. Everyone is super nice and the shifts are easy and the hours are very flexible. The staff is very welcoming and sweet. I felt comfortable straight away.

I had an amazing summer in Pura Vida <3 The host and other staff were some of the best people I’ve ever met, the work is not hard and I had lots of free days that allowed me to explore Gran Canaria and other islands. The location of the hostel is great, it’s right next to the beach so it’s good for learning surfing and chilling. 10/10 experience, I would definitely love to come back!! 🐒🤍

Miguel was really nice to all of the volunteers and we had all together so much fun. He showed and explained everything, cooked family dinners and took us out to local bars. The hostel is very nice and few minutes to the beach or shops. We could borrow his surfboards for free whenever we wanted. The tasks were simple. I met many new people from different places. I really enjoyed so much and I hope one day Ill come back.
