My stay with the family was sooo great!! They were so welcoming since the day they picked me up at the ADO station. They took me out to some cenotes, beaches, they showed me the parks around. All you have to do is to be creative and to teach their children what you know! Everyday, Eva was helping me with the program that I should teach the kids. They have so much things to help you, as memory cards, games, arts, etc. They are also very flexible in time, I went away sooner than I was supposed to, but Eva was so understanding and I really felt at home! The kids are lovely and I am so grateful :)

I felt instantly welcomed into the family, and was eased into the experience getting to know the house and kids. They are flexible with the hours you want to work. I usually did the lessons in the mornings at the park but sometimes it was in the afternoons, or long excursions to the cenote or beach. I had the weekends free to explore the area. There are lots of games and toys to use for the lessons, and the meals are nutritious and delicious. Be prepared to handle the heat, I recommend a hammock to sleep in! The kids are absolutely lovely and full of energy so stay focused and organized!

My experience overall has been great in getting along with the kids and immersing myself to the family lifestyle. The English lessons are simple and you can conduct how you would like to teach the kids. Class is usually in the mornings for a couple of hours before they have their extracurriculars in the afternoons. Some things to take in consideration is they do have a healthy eating lifestyle and if that is not for you you are free to get groceries and use the kitchen to cook. As well, you must be able to handle heat well because it is hot here in Playa del Carmen.

La experiencia en la casa, fue muy buena, las tareas eran simples, había que enseñar a los niños que se educan en casa, por lo general era en las mañanas, lo cual te dejaba la tarde libre para disfrutar de la playa. La familia siempre fue respetuosa conmigo, compartí habitación con las niñas , ellos comen muy saludable, así que si tienes gustos muy especiales ten en cuenta que quizás debas comprar tu propia comida y cocinarte tu mismo, además los días libres no te proporcionan las comidas. Playa del Carmen es un lugar hermoso y disfrute mucho mi estadía.

La experiencia en general fue muy buena, yo planifiqué mis clases con libertad y según las necesidades de los niños de cada día. Los padres fueron flexibles y amables conmigo en todo momento. Los niños son muy buenos y se portan súper!
Respecto a las comidas, quizás no fue lo que esperaba, pero me amoldé y nunca me faltó para comer.
Lo que hizo que mi experiencia no sea increíble fue una situación ajena a la familia, una situación de la casa de al lado que a mí me afectó y bastante. (Pero entiendo que va a ser un factor que dependa de la sensibilidad de cada uno)
