Situated on the Wild Atlantic Way in beautiful Connemara on the west coast of Ireland. Breathtaking scenery overlooking Killary Fjord. Close to mountain trails and secluded beaches ideal for hikers, walkers, families and poets!!
Very friendly and welcoming staff that make you feel comfortable staying with us. Your stay includes team dorm rooms and we also have a self catering kitchen so you can prepare your own meals. You will be welcomed to a very warmhearted environment! We prefer minimum stay of 3 weeks.

fergal & morena were amazing managers and even more amazing people. you'd be lucky to work for them. the hostel is in a very beautiful part of Ireland. it's a step back from the city life and a way to bond with the people you work with and all who enter the hostel. Thanks team and hope to see everyone again in the future!

If you like hiking and nature, this is definitely the best place to spend a few weeks. The view of the hostel is amazing and has the most beautiful sunset that I have seen in my whole life.
About work, simple and easy housekeeping tasks. Only on very busy days we reached the 5 hours of work, we usually end up before and have a lot of free time to explore the area.
Fergal and Morena are such lovely people. Always helpful and willing to teach. Thank you so much for all!! I highly recommend Connemara Hostel!!

What a great experience I had in the Connemara Hostel !! The managers are so nice and the staff team we had was so cool too, there is a very good atmosphere and the location with the lake and the Mountains just down to the hostel is just amazing. Fergal is a nice and funny person, you will have different tasks, the job is not hard to do and you don't feel any pressure. It's a peaceful place and you'll never be alone because of the other volunteers and the guests.
Thanks Fergal, Morena and the staff team for making my time in the Connemara amazing and unforgettable !

It was a great and a wonderful experience to work at the connemara hostel. Fergal is a good man who knows a lot about Ireland. He is very flexible with the days off so I was able to collect them and go on a 5 days trip to Belfast. Laura was so kind and easygoing and at the same time she knew what there was to do.
Sometimes the working hours are more than asked because there's almost no bedroom to clean so we clean the hostel but we don't know until we're already working so sometimes we don't know when the work was over.
But the team, the place, the view each morning... In my heart forever.
