The Laughing Llama

The Okanagan Valley is a beautiful place to stay and play. The hostel is going to be a home away from for guests and volunteers alike. Super clean, custom made beds and a very respectful host!

I am a middle aged woman moving into semi retirement, which of course doesn't mean not working, more just working at what I love. I have done extensive traveling in South and Central America and primarily stayed in hostels. I also ran a hostel in Bolivia for a short time. I loved it! Can't think of anything I'd rather do than host travelers. I'm super excited to have volunteers teach me what they know and help with my weak spots, like social media! I have tried to work the schedule so they will not have to work to many hours and will have enough time off to explore and enjoy the area. It's a small hostel so the work will not be too onerous.

I volunteered here before the accomo was open. I was the solo volunteer, but it meant I got to spend heaps of time with my thoughts, and exploring! I was able to get to know the area to its full potential, as well as myself!

Laurie was always super helpful, and reasonable with the tasks I was asked to complete.

Overall was a rewarding experience, and I would recommend this area to nature lovers and go-getters!
