Had a great 2 months working at the cafe! Martin and Caroline and Cormac are so welcoming, as is the town of Dalavich. We loved our time here so much we even decided to stay an extra few months! We learned a lot about the runnings of a cafe and enjoyed getting to know locals & many happy tourists. The Nook admittedly started to feel a bit cramped with our dog on rainy days, but Martin and Caroline were so accommodating to our pup & let him hang with us in the cafe where he made friends with all the customers. Overall a lovely experience and we are so grateful for the friends we’ve made!

It was our first Worldpackers experience, and it couldn't have been better. The place is amazing, surrounded by nature and tranquility, the people are incredibly welcoming, and our hosts, Caroline and Martin, are truly the best. Not only do they adapt to your level of English and your situation (I was doing an internship online, and sometimes I needed a few hours), but they also make you feel at home in a comfortable environment where you can practice your English.
We will definitely visit them again; it was an unforgettable experience.

This has been our first experience with Worldpackers, and we couldn't be more grateful to Caroline and Martin for being our hosts. The only thing we can complain about is how quickly the two months we spent with them flew by; they are wonderful people. The work we had to do matched the description, and both Martin and Caroline were always making sure we didn't stay a minute longer, that the work suited our abilities, and that we were comfortable. We felt cared for and respected, had some great times with them, and most importantly, we laughed a lot. We left The Nook with lifelong friends!!

Our time working at the cafe was beyond anything we imagined. Martin, Caroline, and Cormac are the kindest, most caring, lovely people you will ever meet. (Also, Martin is the funniest guy). They feel like family now. Working at the cafe was so fun getting to meet travelers and locals. The work was great and I got to learn to make coffees and cook! It was the perfect place to experience the quiet of nature but also close enough to go explore other towns and isles. Martin and Caroline were so helpful and accommodating and made everything so comforting for us. I could go on and on about them ❤️

This was our first Worldpackers experience, and, from the moment we arrived, we knew we made the right decision. Martin and Caroline were the best hosts we could ever hope for. Looking for work/life balance? They made sure we were relieved of our duties right at the end of each shift. Looking to immerse yourself in local culture? They included us in their weekly live music sessions and took us on some of their activities after work. Looking to make a genuine connection? They showed they truly cared about us, and we’ve made lifelong friends in Martin, Caroline, and Cormac. ❤️
