Tiny Hidden Ridge

We are an easy going couple running three airbnbs and a small farm. We encourage our volunteers to explore the area and check out some of the hiking and biking trails as well as historical national parks.

My husband and I live on 5 acres and rent out three airbnbs. We have a few goats, chickens, ducks, and cats. Volunteers will be asked to work an average of 4 hrs a day. We are very flexible and want to find projects that match your interest and skills. We love to travel and enjoy meeting other travelers.

As my first world packers trip, I thoroughly enjoyed my experience. It was a quick trip which made it hard to want to leave. This is a quaint farm ran by Tara and her husband Sean. Both were accommodating and friendly. The tasks vary day by day. There are tons of 10 min projects to do. Tasks like taking care of the animals, composting, painting, building, & clearing forest paths were some of the things I did. I imagine as their farm develops and the seasons change there will be lots more to do. I’m excited to see how this place develops & how WP can play a vital role in its growth.

Tara and Shawn are amazing hosts who were immediately very welcoming and and kind. The work that needed to be done was not to strenuous. All tasks were straight forward and they were both out there working with me. The area has many good hikes and lots of opportunities to experience nature. I would rate this experience a 10/10!
