We`re a great way to get to know Tromso. There is no expectation of our volunteers to work many hours, but rather to be a part of the community. A lot of the time we like to work on projects such as art, photography or carpenting of some kind. We also love to do small hikes, and there is many opportunities to do that. Many of the volunteers from the hostel still live in Tromso and often come by to say hi.
The hostel was started by me (Robin) and some family members. We have a hostel dog called Burger who loves to be scratched on the back and to lick faces. We like to go on daytrips sometimes in the region around Tromso, or to go out to a bar nearby.

Tromsø Activities Hostel was my second experience like volunteer and it’s was really nice! The tasks were like the descripcion and always the owner respect the schedule. You have enough free time to spend with other volunteers and guest and I can go and visit areas around Tromsø. Robin and Naoko were marvelous with me but I need to say that the best thing that I had in my experience was the volunteers team ☺️. Thank u so much for all! If you need an advice … I recommend u that u go to this hotel! Always it’ll be in my heart! ❤️ 😊

This hostel truly feels like home from the beginning, it felt like my own. Robin, Naoko and Alex are very nice and flexible people. The daily work never takes more than 2 hours, so volunteers have a lot of time to experience the city, the nature or even work in Tromso. The staff is amazing, like a small, international family, the town is lovely, there are many things to do in the area, for example aurora tours, dog sledging, reindeer feeding, whale watching, hiking, etc. This is the best place if you want to meet a lot of different people! It was the best experience! Will love Burger forever!

Una decisión muy acertada fue la de venir a este hostel. Mucha buena onda, gente súper agradable, las tareas no son pesadas y están bien distribuidas. Robin es una muy buena persona, súper flexible con los horarios y tareas. El hostel tiene una ubicación excelente. Increíble lugar, 100% recomendable y más si es tu primer voluntariado!

This experience has been enriching from every point of view. I met bunches of interesting people from all over the world and I had the possibility to explore Tromso's sorroundings because I had a lot of free time. I would recommend this experience to everyone!
