They can learn about: macrobiotic diet, tending to a garden, caring for cats, household chores, and a bit of crafting. Most of the food comes from our own garden. They have free and unlimited Wi-Fi 24 hours a day, a single room or a shared room, easy access to public transportation to Caldas da Rainha, Óbidos, S. Martinho do Porto, Nazaré, Alcobaça, Porto, Lisbon, etc.

I enjoy waking up early and need time for breakfast. I love spending time with cats and cooking macrobiotic meals, but I require assistance in the kitchen. I spend more time in the workshop than in the garden, and I also need some time for myself. I frequently leave home to fetch water, pick fruit, attend training sessions, go to the beach, and do shopping (which I dislike but need to do)... and I enjoy biking. Volunteers are free to use the kitchen and pursue their own activities. They need to have a lot of patience with the cats as they are rescued street cats.

Ana Paula is a holistic human and soul!! She cares for knowledge, the environment, others, and, of course, her cute kitties! Be sure to keep yourself busy and offer any skills you have and you will learn a lot.
However:
- It is a small village, not much to do nearby and few buses coming by (but you can plan and communicate!)
- It is an old house therefore you have to be flexible and considerate with plumbing, heater and water consumption. NOT suitable for people with breathing problems as there is mold.
- I left early because it did not suit me.

Ana é uma pessoa solciita e faz questão de dar suporte para que fique confortável.
O que mais precisa no momento é ajuda na organização e limpeza da casa e gatos,pois realmente é uma sobrecarga!
A limpeza da casa realmente estava em déficit e ela me avisou,portanto.foi o que mais ajudei nos dias que fiquei por lá!
Mas é preciso estar preparado para ajudar numa limpeza grande!
Ajudei tb pouco na horta ,com uma amiga dela que vai lá para ajudar!
O qto que tinha era bom, apesar de mto frio, ela me deu um aquecedor e cobertas, que resolveu!
Tive que sair antes por motivos pessoais.

My experience at Ana’s place did not turn out as good I expected so I decided to leave earlier:
- cute cats but expect to smell and see their faeces everywhere.
- not much to do in the town. could probably go to other places but the bus doesn’t come regularly and roads are not walking friendly.
- Your job there is to mostly clean but its very disorganized.
- Ana was welcoming and lovely but too busy and exhausted caring for the cats. So she doesn’t teach you but expect you to know things. but I am here to learn new things.
So it was mostly because Ana and I had different expectations.

Minha experiência com a Ana foi muito boa, sinto que me formou como pessoa! Ela teve muita paciência comigo, os gatos são sensacionais e a comida maravilhosa. Além disso, ajudou muito com a minha timidez, não sou uma pessoa muito solta, porém, me senti em casa.
Ana, obrigada por tudo! Pelas histórias, pelas risadas e aprendizados. Damian, obrigada pelas aulas sobre a horta, pelas conversas em espanhol e por ser tão compreensível. E um obrigada para a Bisteca e os outros queridos gatos, que me acompanharam nas tarefas diárias e me fizeram companhia a noite.
Serei sempre muito grata :)

Então, o que posso dizer: o prazer foi meu:)) I can't thank Paula enough for the time I spent in her home. It was everything I expected and more. Paula was very accommodating and a wonder to chat with. I learned A LOT. I'll be sure to eat caldo verde for the rest of my days. I can't recommend Paula's experience enough, especially if this is your first time trying Worldpackers. Be sure to offer any skills you have and be keen to learn. This will be rewarded in spades.
