Worth House Bed and Breakfast

This wonderful 400 year old farmhouse has a relaxed atmosphere which our guests and volunteers love in equal measure. We are close to the beautiful medieval city of Wells and 15 minutes from the spiritual Glastonbury. The perfect location.

I live here with my three bubbly daughters and we work hard and play hard. I do expect attention to detail as it is what our guests expect and everyone writes a review when they leave, so we need to make sure they are all good!

This is a perfect experience to truly immerse yourself in British culture learning a lot (on a practical and social level). As for the volunteering activities, they are very well-organised: the tasks are varied and everything flows perfectly. The atmosphere is filled with positivity and love.
The countryside that surrounds the place is wonderful/wild and the nearest city, Wells, is really charming (tourism, culture, food).
The cherry on top is definitely the people you share the experience with: the family who runs the B&B is extremely caring and genuine and will make it so hard to leave!

My experience at Worth Bed & Breakfast was great. Sarah and the girls were welcoming and friendly. Their puppy Redd is adorable! Tasks are the ones mentioned and can be done easily. Wells is amazing and has good transport connections to other cities such as Bristol, Bath, Cheddar and Glastonbury. I would definitely recommend this experience to solo or couple travellers.

This was our first volunteering experience and we had such a nice time. Since day one Sarah and her daughters made us feel very welcomed. The tasks were the ones mentioned so it wasn’t something hard to achieve. The transport is really efficient so we got to visit many beautiful places as Cheddar, Bath, Bristol, etc. And of course Wells which is beautiful as well with lots of thing to do. I loved my time there and I highly recommend it to anyone, I’d definitely come back!

We were with Sarah for 2 months and it was the best experience. It was our first time doing a volunteer job and we loved it. Sarah and her family were lovely and always made us feel at home. Missing you all and Redd!!

I had a lovely time at Worth House. Sarah and her family are very friendly, kind and welcoming. They have a puppy called Red (his fur is actually black which is funny) who's so cute. Sarah is very good at delegating the tasks and communication was always great. The tasks aren't hard in my opinion. I had my own room and bathroom and you are free to use the kitchen to cook for yourself. The area and the house are peaceful and beautiful. Nearest little city to explore is Wells which is quite charming, with good connections to Glastonbury, Bristol and Bath. I would definitely recommend!
