YoYo Surf Hostel Ahangama
We are one of the highest rated backpacker hostels in south of Sri Lanka. Surfers loves our place as 50meters from the hostel you find the best surf spot in Sri Lanka. Sunsets are magical here and we can host 30backpackers along with our special volunteers inhouse. We create community where travellers loves our vibe.
We have friendliest staff and they are my family. Kosala is one of the managers and Asanka is running the tours as well. Ian is the friendliest guy you can ever meet and super funny too. These guys are my family and so you can be very comfortable here

This was my first volunteering experience and I couldn’t have wished for a better one! Gee is the best host and will make you feel like part of the family since day one. You will never wanna leave that place.
Make sure to be a social and outgoing person when applying, cause that is gonna be your main task :) Can 100% recommend. Until next time! ❤️

Loved my time at yoyos🥰 Gee is the best and funniest host you could imagine and he made this place feel like home to me! Loved the whole Team and the good vibes in the hostel, met sooo many cool people ☺️ and even tho I’m done with volunteering I’m still going to stick around in the hostel for this month, so I think that tells you everything ;)
Proud and happy to be part of the Yoyo’s Fam🫶 can highly recommend it!!!

I loved my stay at Yoyo's. Gee, the owner and the staff are amazing and you get to know them well. A very social place, easy to make friends and have the best time. The work itself doens't require too much and you'll have time to chill, but be prepared to be social and interact with guests as that is the main thing volunteers are for. Ended up extending my stay as I did not want to leave. Definitely a home away from home. Will be back one day. Much love ❤️

Eu tive uma experiência bem tranquila. Gee, que foi meu anfitrião meu deu toda liberdade para desenvolver o meu trabalho em relação a criação de conteúdo e me ajudou com as demandas que precisava para melhor me adaptar à cidade.
I had a very peaceful experience. Gee, who was my host, gave me all the freedom to develop my work in relation to content creation and helped me with the demands I needed to better adapt to the city.

This was my first Worldpackers experience and I honestly couldn't ask for a better place. The host, Gee, is an amazing and funny guy and that creates such a lovely environment to live and work in. The hostel organizes and attends a lot of social events (parties, pool tournaments, movie nights, etc.) which is a great way to meet new people.
At YoYo's we say we are all a big family, and it really feels like that!!
