I traveled through Europe for 3 months, and my two weeks here were BY FAR my favorite on my trip. The friendships that I made were priceless, and I was so happy to be so close to nature constantly, it really grounds you. I would recommend this to anybody up for a rewarding and beautiful experience.
How do I talk about this experience? Words can't describe everything that I lived and experienced in The Catfarm. For me, a hole new and surprising way of seeing life, with this sense of community that changes our relationship with nature and the world around us. Also a lot of learning about different cultures... It's really gratifying feeling noticing that after passed through some incredible (and tough, sometimes) situations we grow a lot and in the end we have made connections with really special people for the whole life. Thanks for everybody that made this travell so amazing.
Great opportunity to be with like minded people who want to explore Eco living and sustainability. I had a nice opportunity to experiment with perma culture and to create compost (activating the thermophile bacteria) using the humanure from the Eco toilet. It was one of the best experiences I've had in a long time, even if working outdoors in 40c heat was a challenge for me. Friends for life made.
That was an amazing experience, I spent 3months there, and I did a lot of things that I'll not imagine before. The people that I met were so nice, interesting, full of love, real adventurers running after happiness and discovery! The projects of the Catfarm are so great, the tipy, the 404 air bnb... everything. I was feeling at home. And of course, I'll come back! The Catfarm is an incredible lovely place where you can learn some much things.... And enjoying all together some chill' and positive moments, like around a campfire hahah! :)I wish all the best to the Catfarm! Meooooow :)xx
I had an amazing experience at The Cat Farm. Ulysses was very kind and taught me many skills. The other volunteers were fantastic always having a laugh or good conversation. I felt welcome and safe at the cat farm. I can only say good things about it.
Thank you so much.
I'll be back (hopefully)
dear cats, I know it was a few days, but as Dani said, short but intense, after 10 days I'm going on a trip to London, and I have a feeling that I'm going to miss this place, this incredible landscape that I'll have to go back to to photograph , unfortunately I was able to only participate in two projects, I would like to be part of all of them, even those who are only in imagination. I wish the best for Ruth, Chris, Manu and all the others that are staying, I hope to meet you soon and have good new stories to share.
It was a beautifful experience. I loved community life, work, daily routine, people. It's always about people... They treat you like a family member and you can rely on all of them. Thank you cat farm for this amazing experience: singing near to a bonfire, playing boardgames, disscusions we had, delicious food we made, crazy things we did - everything!:)
Recomendo!
I absolutely love the cat farm!! It is such an accepting group of travelers. I love learning new skills from other people and eating some delicious vegetarian food. We sit around the camp fire almost every night and talk and play music, it's amazing to hear so many great ideas and be able to share some of my own. I'm really going to miss all of the people I met at the cat farm. I will highly recommend the cat farm to anyone who will listen. I wish all of you luck in the future
The Catfarm is one of the best places you could possibly go to. If you like good music, good food, and good people, you'll fit in purrrrfectly. The work was really enjoyable, especially since it was paced very well throughout the day (start around ten, get a few hours in before lunch, take a few hours off while the sun is out, and finish up before dinner). Even though it was an English-speaking community I found plenty of opportunities to practice my French, and the off-grid location still allowed us to take trips into the city.
Basically if you're even considering coming here, do it.
