Gardener and smallholding help

1 avaliação1

Spring has sprung as Cueva Rosa and we need help in the garden. Planting, pruning, weeding, landscaping and animal care - it's ongoing! We need to get things in the ground and ready for the hot weather which will soon be with us. If you like working outdoors with nature, this would be perfect for you! Depending on your skills and what we need to do, we may ask you to help with other tasks reforming the caves too. Be prepared to help out!

Above all else, you are staying in our home, as part of our family - this is not a hostel! Please respect each other and our home. We expect volunteers to clean up after themselves and be a part of our daily life - if you make a mess, clear it up. The animal care is ongoing and the level of your involvement will be dependent on how you are with them. At the very least we expect you to interact with our animals and not be afraid of them - they are all incredibly friendly and loving when you take the time to get to know them, much like us ;)

Atividades & Turnos

We ask for 4-5 hours a day, depending on the physical difficulty of the tasks performed. About 30 hours a week. 5 hours a day, for 6 days is a good guideline, although we are flexible. If we see you've been working really hard, then we ask for less. You need to be strong and this environment is not for the feint-hearted. If you're not prepared to get stuck in and a little dirty, this is not the right environment for you.

Helpers must respect living off grid, and caring for our animals, as well as us and our home. If you don't like dogs, don't come. If you make a mess, clear it up. Say please and thank you. Turn lights off after you - we run on solar. Simple rules, simple manners :) Bring work clothes please and sensible footwear!
